My leukemia's back.

Sunshine yesterday!! Not very smoky at all. Today, more smoke in the air..not as bad as been it's been. The fire has now gone over the ridge, back up the canyon close to where the last big fire was, only on the opposite side of the highway. There is a darling little community up there that has been evacuated. :( Sad, if it gets down there, it will ruin the scenery we go up there to see in the fall. Will see if I can find a past a fall photo.

Yes, I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet, as a result of the chemo. While I'm not always pain free, it's normally very tolerable. Changes in weather, and atmospheric conditions tend to cause it to flare up a bit more. Normally an ibuprofen takes care of it. Even though Florence didn't hit us directly, it did have an impact on our weather. A couple friends of mine have complained about increased neuropathy pain since Thursday too, so at this point, I don't think the PT scan had anything to do with it.
I have a little of that from the crushed sciatica nerve but I also have a bit of paralysis and numbness. My right foot often hurts and feels weird.

I should pay attention to triggers

Just left to the train, is a bridge that goes up that canyon to some homes. It's called Covered Bridge. Beautiful up there. My husband and I had looked to buy up there years ago. Decided it was too far into the canyon.

That's not so large a flock that it couldn't be transported if you have to evacuate. You can make home-made cages, and not all of them have to be individual cages. Another source would be to check with the animal shelters, and animal rescue sites in your area for dog kennels to use for transporting them. If you don't have a trailer, the U haul 4 x 7 utility trailer is not overly expensive, and with properly placed, and secured tarps, would work fine, allowing enough air flow to keep them from overheating, without it being too much air on them.

Did they burn up?
Hopefully not...they were evacuated yesterday. Praying they keep it at bay. Was in the back yard today..heard a large plane coming, nice big plane flying very low. It was one of those that are working on the fires. It was low. I could see the windows to the cockpit, so I waved until they passed. My way of saying thanks. Not sure they saw me, hope so. Lots and lots of prayers going out not only for families, but for our fire fighters.

Don't mean to be bearer of bad news. Seems like I've just come on with sad news for a while. But I need prayers for my sister. This is my mentally handicapped sister. She will be 53 in November. She's getting up there to start having problems even though it seems like it may be early for some folks, the mentally handicapped seem to have them sooner than later. She's had problems with her kidneys for a long time, but now the doctor wants to start seeing her every 3 months instead of 6 months. He says that she will probably need to be on dialysis Within a year maybe two. And at the same time he wants to put her on a kidney transplant list. I didn't know they did that for these folks that are on state help. Glad to know they care enough to do so. I actually can't see her going through all of this. So far she isn't in any pain. Now that's good news!
