My leukemia's back.

Good morning Team Rachel. I hope everyone has a fantastic day. Dh is in bed sleeping, Dd # 1 is at school, the 2 oldest grands are at school too, so it's me, and the baby for now. I probably should say it's me, the baby, and Mickey Mouse for now.

The baby is allowed Moderate Activity, and lots of walking. Horseplay, running, jumping, climbing, etc. are not allowed at this time. Moderate activity is NOT in this 3 year old's vocabulary. She doesn't know what that is, doesn't want to know what that is, and is becoming suspicious that it's a form of strange torture for 3 year olds, or all the adults have gone insane. She's giving everybody strange looks. To her way of thinking, what kind of adult thinks a kid should not be engaged in horseplay with their siblings? What kind of adult thinks she shouldn't be climbing the fence to be as tall as grandpa, as he weed whacks the fence line, then jump down to run to the next section, and climb back up the fence? When we put leaves, and fallen branches into the little trailer, then take it to the burn pit, what idiot dreamed up the idea that she's not suppose to ride the trailer, then jump down when it stops? Why do all the adults suddenly want her to wait for the swing to stop before jumping out? No sliding down the slide without someone to catch her at the bottom? The adults in her life have simply lost their minds. She gives us "the look". Just think, only another week, and a half to go with this "Moderate Activity" thing. The joy.

Fortunately, there are some cartoons she does like to watch, but not for too long. We did download a lot of games, learning things, and assorted activities onto 3 tablets, so she doesn't mind the down time as much.

A neighbor of my mom had a little boy who stuck a stick in his eye...

The doctors fixed it all up, but said he had to be still and quiet for a week so it could heal.

I asked, and what drugs, and how many, did the docs give the parents so they could keep the kid doped up?

No drugs... those poor parents got zero drugs. No idea how they managed.

My kid, kid 3, sliced his foot open once as a kid (maybe age 4) and all I had to do was keep him still for 3 days.

HAH!

I failed.

They didn't give us any drugs either. She can have kids Motrin, if she experiences any discomfort.

She's tired of the nonsense. She put on her bike helmet, and knee pads. Now she's ready for anything. I think when doctors suggest moderate activity, they should give the parents big rolls of bubble wrap, a couple rolls of duct tape, and Valium for everyone.

I agree!

I don't think the docs are thinking straight
