My leukemia's back.

I agree that it's a shame she has to wait 2 weeks. Phil, a lot of people suffer depression in the winter months. The effect of shorter daylight hours doesn't only apply to chickens not laying. A lot of people have been helped some by replacing their regular light bulbs with grow-lights. They give off a fuller light spectrum range, similar to sunlight, and it's like increasing daylight hours. My friend's grown granddaughter has been in, and out of the local mental hospital several times. The psychiatrists at the hospital say she needs weekly counseling, along with her meds. The county she lives in has 1 counselor that takes medicaid. A couple years ago, there were 3 counselors, but in the past 2 years, 2 of them have moved to other counties. They've never added more counselors that will take medicaid. Due to the lack of counselors, she goes in once a month. The counselor spends about 5 minutes reviewing her medications, and prescribes for the next month. That's it. The counselor is too overbooked to do any counseling sessions. The granddaughter is going through some issues right now, and could really use some counseling, but can't get it unless she's committed to the mental hospital as being a threat to herself or others.

:fl Prayers for the Mental illness problems!

My Youngest DD is going in for a test to see if she has celiac disease. She took a Genetic test that shows a higher than average risk for it and has some symptoms

The neurologist finished with my grandson. NO ADHD, NO ADD, IQ is NORMAL for his age. His is all trauma related. Monday, his personal child psychologist is going to contact the school psychologist, and set up his learning program, to help prevent, or ease the triggers, and coping mechanisms to help deal with them.

I bought her a SADD light and she is using it.
Is just she's so bad and those things take time to actually take effect...... but it is what it is. I just wish i could do something.

When I was depressed winter was good for me, no one looked happy with it. Summer was hard because everyone seemed to be having a great time but me!

It may take some experimenting with various meds but, when one works, it makes the whole difference in the world.

That is good news!
