My leukemia's back.

@lazy gardener I guess you showed your brother

I like my short wash & go hair! DH is my barber now and he does a pretty darn good job too.

I cut my own hair. I consider it to be a good hair cut when I don't get my knuckles stuck between the blades of the scissors. When hubby comes home, he fixes any little bits I miss in the back. Last time, he didn't have to do much!!!

My little sister cut her own hair...when she was about 3, lol. Mom found her hiding behind a door with nothing left to the top half of her hair, she just had curls over each ear and in back. I don' think mom trusted her with scissors again until she was 5.

Okay, are you ready for the reveal?

I guess it's cute. I just have such a hard time with this and that makes no sense at all. She's still adorable, and she's still Kendra. I'm certainly not such a pea-brain to go into mourning over a haircut, for pity's sake. It's. Just. Hair.

@Donrae, I just found this thread. I noticed that you said you had a relapse of Leukemia in your signature a while back. I am so sorry to hear about that. I'll be praying for you.

Blooie, I think she looks adorable. I'm sure Mom will enjoy a little freedom from the maintenance of the long hair, and the ease of using the wheelchair.

but, from someone who has repeated It's. Just. Hair. a few times herself, I can completely empathize with your emotions. I still haven't figured out why a female's hair is such a complex emotional issue in our culture, but it's a hot-button thing all right. You can't help your emotions.

@Blooie , My step mom's dad was a barber. A real old fashioned barber that owned his own shop with the candy striped poles out front and a penny gum machine and a coke machine that was done by the honor system. And old men sitting out front before the shop opened reading newspapers all day. Since he's the only one in the family who could cut hair, guess where I was always taken to get my hair cut

as a child. My step mom had this awful pixy haircut growing up and I think that was the only "girl" haircut my grandfather knew. It was awful. To this day, I will not make my daughter's get their hair cut.

Her hair does look cute and possibly she likes it better. I understand your feelings as well, but remember, hair does not identify us

Kendra's adorable with her new do (just as she was before). And someone is going to be getting a wonderful gift from her donation so maybe that helps.
