My leukemia's back.

I can guarantee they wouldn't. Did you ever make the ones made out of Jello? And, did you end up eating more dough than you actually put into the pan, and did you purposefully make some mis-shaped so you could eat them? And did you have fun eating the ring of dough that was stuck to the bottom of the plunger thingy???? It was better than playing with play doh!!!
Whoa, whoa- whoa up. Jello?
What?
I need to know about those.
Like specifics and all.

I make so many Christmas cookies each year. Everyone has their favorite and it seems like each year another favorite gets added to the list.
I like the cookie gun ones because they are quick and easy.
My husband has to have pecan sandies. Years ago on BYC I got a recipe for fruit cake cookies, and I have to have those. (Yes, I am the weirdo that loves fruit cake.)
My son loves the spritz cookies with the raspberry or apricot jam in the center.
and each year I try something new.

so spill it about the jello cookies.

I had a horse that tried to kill me...repeatedly. We had cats, dogs, guinea pig, rabbits. And a hawk with a broken wing for a while. Did lots of "exploring" in hazardous outdoor areas that gave my mother white hair. The creek was especially fun, it had leeches. Loved my chemistry kit, lots of fun experiments with that. Played with fireworks and matches. Tossed cold, cooked spaghetti noodles all over the kitchen ceiling (but that wasn't much fun after Dad saw it).

Had a pony that repeatedly tried to kill me... but in a caring way.
Creek beds to explore, pond, had the rehab squirrels and the rehab birds, made huts out of palmetos and sabel palm fronds...
Chickens... ducks reared by chickens...
Super fantastic grandparents. Very patient. Much adored.

OH-O-OH! and the big thick grape vines that for some reason we figured, "If Tarzan can do it, we ought to be able to do it too,"
nope. flat on our backs with leaf litter and sticks falling down on top of us.
And then we'd try it again when we found another one, because obviously the first few had to have been faulty.

Jello spritz. You're expecting me to remember something from 40++ years ago? All I know is that you put the jello powder in when mixing the cookies up. Made them very flavorful, but it was important to work the dough, only just enough, or they'd be a bit tough. Home made fruit cake is much different b/c you can keep the rubbery bits out. I used to go ice skating at a swamp with a beaver dam that was about a mile through the woods. One year, my best friend and I took my kid sister who was about 3 years old at the time. It was getting dark and on the way back, we took a wrong turn. It was spring, when the ice was breaking up, and we got into an alder swamp, took turns carrying her, and kept falling through the shell ice. Found our way back by listening to the sounds of the occasional cars on the distant road. Can you imagine kids this day and age having the freedom to do that???? AAUGH! If my kids did half of what I did growing up... I'd be in the looney bin!!!
