I woke up this morning to 11 frantic text messages...it seems a friend of mine..Matt Bauer is in the hospital fighting for his life.
I met him a long time ago salmon fishing. He lives in the Twin Cites and travels here once a year to salmon fish.
We are both cancer survivors...I knew he's had issues again recently. But he was supposed to come back up fishing last month and cancelled because of money issues.
now it's seems we might never get that last trip in.I'm having a hard time with all these tears today.
I know he was trying to fight cancer this time the"natural" way.
He was always sending me articles about this food and that and the healing powers they possessed.
I just hope he can win this fight. He just said the cancer had spread to his abdomen and he was septic with an infection. He's going to try and get stabilized so he could go to Nevada for a second opinion.....A Lost friend....Phil

Oh, yeah, bigger fish out there just waiting for him to drop a line in front of them . . . . .

60-ish and breezy today; that should keep the mosquitoes down. Perfect weather to start on a project that's been on the "Bunny-do" list for much, much too long - putting a new roof on the rabbitry. Gotta hurry - it's about 25' x 50', and we have rain in the forecast again starting Thursday.

Thank you all....I hope he fights hard...I got to go buy parts for my daughter's Jeep and get her taken care of.

Sour, it's funny you posted about the flannel. The other day I was wearing jeans, a tank top and a (yes, clean) plaid flannel shirt over top. Sugar Monkey took one look at me and said "Look at you, all dressed up"

. yep, that's dressed up around here.

yesterday I wore jeans, boots and a sweater to the Dr office and got several compliments. On the one hand it was flattering, on the other hand, maybe I should look nicer when I leave the house, if they all noticed and thought that looked so good

. I do usually try to wash the various poo off my orange clogs before I get in the van......

Nice and sunny here today. I'll have the boys clean stalls and I'm going to try to get the lighting hung in the coop to get some darn eggs! Pick up some more eggs for the incubator, see if it's a burn day, general dinking around the place. Just plugging away at getting things cleaned up to list the property.
