My leukemia's back.

Phil, I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Please keep us posted.

Father, we lift Matt up to you today. He's fighting a big foe, but we know that you are bigger than that foe, and bigger and more powerful than any of the battles or foes that we fight. So, today, we ask for healing for Matt. We ask you to hold him in your arms, bring comfort to him and his family. I pray that, if it be your will, you would restore him to health. Allow him the opportunity to get together with Phil at least one more time to enjoy a great fishing trip. But, Father, whether his healing comes now, or after he leaves this sorry world behind, give him a great peace and confidence in your everlasting love for him.

Dressed up for me: Jeans without mud ground into the knees. Many layers, which can be shed one at a time as the day warms up, usually ending in short sleeves if the temp gets up to 60* outside. Sneakers without piles of poop stuck on the bottom. Work gloves without holes in the fingers.

Dressing up for me is.....well, I work at a bank, so it's dressing up. But the second I walk in the door, (sometimes on the way home), those stuffy clothes come off! LOL! Blue jeans, or jogging pants & t-shirts are my picks.

Have a great day everyone. Praying for your friend Phil.

Tonight's supper: Left over cockrel soup, onion and kale from the garden, including green onion tops. Cheddar cheese, garlic and herb biscuits. We spent the morning stacking fire wood, got more cleaning done in the garage to make room for the rest of the fire wood, Storing a lot of my garden gear under the deck this year. Feels good to free up the garage space. Moved the green house, and did a lot of yard prep this afternoon. That soup will be welcome tonight. Nice fire going in the stove this afternoon. Jack and entourage helped us with the fire wood, then chased apples that I tossed out for them.

I'm not gonna put a recipe up b/c it's not worthy of posting. I just made plain drop biscuits and added 1/3 cup of shredded cheese, about 1/2 tsp of garlic powder, a dash of oregano and basil.

This is pretty much what I do, too. A handful of shredded cheese, granulated garlic and onion, I use parsley or whatever other herb seems to complement the meal. Drop biscuits are a wonderful thing!

Looks like a gloomy Oregon day today. Got the fire started and spare ribs thawing. Honey's going to go do some tractor work for a friend, so I'm on my own this morning. I have general cleaning and organizing in the kitchen to do, that should be today. It's raining, so not sure how much I'll but the boys to work outside cleaning up. I may spend some time in the barn organizing.

Honey has a milk snake we've had for several years. Our local pet shop closed down and we have no where to purchase feeder mice

. We used to breed them (mice and rats), and I'm thinking about getting into it again. We had them in the house before, but I think I'd go with the barn this time. Just a small colony for our own use, possibly selling the overflow if there's a demand. I'm not sure what other reptile owners in the area are doing for feeders. I may ask the boys if one of them wants to make it their project. We have aquariums and waterers, etc from our last go-round.
