My leukemia's back.

I have to go find it again, but Jenna just posted a photo of Ashley and guess what? Her hair is coming back in!! She had the finest baby hair - just blonde wisps before her leukemia and chemo. Now it's coming in thick and way, way darker than it ever was! She is STILL trying to decide if she likes it!

Rachel, I'll bet it's like the others said and it's a cold or allergies. But you know not to let breathing issues take hold so you'll do what's best.

My hatching eggs aren't looking good. At all. Out of 27 I'll be doing good to get 6 hatch. <sigh>

Okay, out of 18 eggs, 7 hatched! 4 OE/Ee & 3 bielefelders.

And they are all doing well so far! There were 2 more that we did a partial harch assist. It looks like 1 will make it, the other not so sure. It is day 23. So these 2 are not looking too good.

Update: The incubator was turned off and a beilefelder male chick hatched yesterday! Miracle is it's name! The over chick lived but the weaker one died. Sigh. It was a hatch assist one. But the other two that I did band you can not tell air from the mates! Miracle is super bossy too, yelling at the others when he is blocked or bumped into. Lol.

Out of 25 eggs that made it to lockdown, I have 21 chicks  . Two bantams, one pure bred Marans, and 18 Camo Eggers. 

And yep, I went ahead and set 8 Marans eggs today  .

IDK---went out to check on chicks in the barn, just that little walk, no lifting or bending or anything. Came back in and my pulse was 125 and my O2 sat was down to 90%. Not thrilled with that. I need to have a stern talk with my body. I'm supposed to start work on Friday. Can't call in sick my first day, or spend it hacking and coughing all over the place :/ .

Too bad I can't make a living hatching chicks!

Maybe you could...or at least supplement yours....Rachel sorry about your breathing...trust me I'm with you there....I have been off prednisone for a little while. But now my pain level is through the roof. The prednisone helps keep the inflammation down.
I'm really concerned about you working.....I know why you want to....your a strong person you have to be to live through what we've been through.....but you have a weak immune system. I worry you'll hurt your health. Please don't do that....you fought way too hard to go backwards....having just gotten a clear biopsy is not worth it.

Maybe you should stay stable on the prednisone until spring is over.

I know it makes sense to blame everything on the transplant, but there might be other factors aggravating the primary issues.
I hate prednisone. it makes me hungry, weird, and crabby. But when I have to be on it, I am glad it is there.

I hope you feel better soon, and that you enjoy your job. 

Your right but the transplant has a lot to do with it.....much of my pain issues are related to the prednisone I took as a anti rejection medication.....she will find the sweet spot she needs to maintain her prednisone.....like me she may find that seasonally the amounts may be different.

Hey all!

Popping in while I'm cooking dinner. Today was way too busy to worry about going back to work

. Left the house at 7am, made it home just after 6pm. Dr appointment, lots of shopping, other errands......I'm tired.

But, I did some clothes shopping and I'm going to look pretty at work

. I've not really bought nice new clothes for three years, just sweats and T-shirts, things like that. So it was a nice treat.

Anyway, gotta go, just wanted to say thanks for all the thoughts.
