My leukemia's back.

Fresh mown lawn or hay - the scents of my childhood - love 'em.

The Princess has a matinee performance of her play today so I am off to support her. She is a nasty 'B' in this play. I was almost scared to run lines with her.

Here is't mint that's gone feral. It's a great smell when Honey mows

. Very refreshing.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommas here.

Ah, yes, mint will do that very well -- at least it smells good, lol.

Hope it goes well - did the flakey person finally get her act together and figure out how to play her part?

Popping in to say hope everyone is doing well. I must've ticked someone at BYC off, because I no longer get email notifications.....on any of my subscriptions:confused:.

Anyways, been crazy busy looking for new job, had a few interviews. Going tomorrow for a second interview at a perspective job. Fingers crossed. I have to take a math test, and computer skills test with Word and Excel. I'm not holding my breath because lots of people have applied.

Sent 14 chickens to freezer camp yesterday. 2 spent hens & 12 roosters. It's been MUCH quieter here today. I'm sure the neighbors are doing a little happy dance:D. Time to go feed & lock them up. You all have a great day:)

Good morning everyone!

Sour, how did the play go yesterday?

Outpost, good luck with the job hunt!

Wow - you were busy yesterday! Good luck today - second interview is good, even if the pool of applicants was large they obviously saw something in you they liked in the first round!!

Good luck.... Freezer camp eh?.. Is there ice fishing there?

Good morning, everyone. Play was great, NFC. Wish everyone lived close enough that you could see it. It may be the best role she has ever played in a great ensemble cast. I did not like the movie production of "August: Osage County", but this is far better.

Well of course it is! The movie didn't have a Princess, right?

I'm glad things went well for her. Getting up in front of a bunch of folks is something I try to avoid at all costs, so I'm always impressed when someone else is good at it.

JWB--that's a lot of butchering! Good for you--I'll bet it's much, much quieter. And way less feed, those roosters are great big freeloaders and eat a ton.

Someone please please tell me I'm not the only one who hates costume or dress-up days/weeks at work

. This week the office staff is going to have fun and we get to dress up in pajamas, Hawaiian, 50's, sports team, and costume of choice. For me, this is anything but fun. I don't have anything appropriate for any of those themes. I have jeans and sweats, and I have some nice work clothes. Gee, didn't think to pick up any Hawaiian shirts when I was work shopping.....grrrr. I have one long sleeved flannel nightgown I may wear into work, but I'll have to take something else to change into cause our office runs a good 75 degrees during the day. Yep, flannel and longsleves have a temperature expiration, and it's way less than 75. Plus, it's what I wear in the mornings to go tend the chickens before I get dressed in my work clothes, and I'm pretty sure there's pieces of hay stuck to it
hmm.png
. That'll give me the itchyscratchies for sure. For the other days, I have no idea. I'm frugal enough I'm not going to go spend money, and honestly I don't even want to go check Good will or something like that. I've already spent time and money getting clothes for work...this is stressing me out.

Anyway, besides the whining, things are going well. Both the oldest boys are working at McDonalds now, so that's a nice change. We're still trying to work out schedules and chores and things and stuff, but it's a good life

Oh, that so reminds me of last year's Grand Lodge for the state of Wyoming. The banquet the last night was a "Team Theme"....wear your favorite sports team jersey. Well, I'd already bought one formal (for the Grand Master's banquet) and had 3 or 4 others, plus I had my business casual outfit and my ladies' luncheon dress....all the stuff I need for the events over the 4 days. I had to buy a team jersey too? Ken and I hit the sporting goods stores in Billings and those team jerseys ain't cheap!! I hated like crazy to spend $50.00 on a shirt just because it had the name of a football team on it. I'd likely only wear it that one time anyway. Same with Ken. Sooooo.......

We wore our "Team Ashley" t-shirts!! Yep, we did. One of Ashley's fundraisers was the sale of t-shirts and since we can't be there for any of the other fund raisers, we bought the entire family - kids and all - Team Ashley shirts. So we wore them. Hey, it's a favorite team, right?

Rachel, I sure wish I had known you needed a Hawaiian shirt earlier. I cleaned out our closet and got rid of about 10 of them DH had. Only got rid of the too small or worn ones...he looks good in them so I saved a few, lol. I would have gladly sent you a shirt, complete with hula dancers!

Sour, that is so cool about the Princess and the play! I freeze speaking to groups so like Rachel, I'm always impressed by those that not only can do it but are good at it.
