My leukemia's back.

I was on Pulmicort for awhile too. It worked very well, but then my issues and yours are totally different. One thing.....RINSE YOUR MOUTH after using it. I started out being a good girl and doing that each and every time. Then I was in a hurry and skipped it, which made it easier to skip it again....and again.....and before you knew it I had the most raging case of Thrush in the history of Thrush!! Took literally weeks to clear it up. RINSE YOUR MOUTH!!

I only do Abuteral with mine.... I use Symbacort and Spiriva but no nebulizer steroids. I don't think any of them work myself. Prednisone is the only thing i feel works at all.

Hope it works for you..... :fl

My old boss ( a pulmonologist) said the best thing was to rinse with an alcohol based mouthwash after the inhaled steroids. I've been using just water with the Advair and it's been okay. Not sure if the pulmicort is different

. Heaven knows I have enough issues with my mouth anyway, but I"m not sure an alcohol based wash would be good. I already do a steroid based mouth rinse a few times a day, seems to me like the alcohol would dry things out? I'll have to look into that.

I bought a Scrabble game last night. The boys and I played two games this morning, we had a blast!

I wonder if a yogurt swish followed by a water swish would be helpful.

I guessed I'm lucky... All the steroids and I've never had thrush......
