My leukemia's back.

Good morning everyone!

Thanks for the heads-up Phil...sometimes I watch him, I'll try to remember tonight's show.

That would be great Deb..... One of the things I like to do here is share my somewhat unique locality.... The Upper Peninsula is a wonderful place to raise a family.
Kinda like Wyoming with big ole lakes surrounding it.....

We have a baby calf!

So excited! Honey says it's a little bull calf, I didn't look myself.

For the last week or so, we've been watching momma (Berry) and asking each other "does she look like she's bagging up?" It's been on and off, but we couldn't really tell if she was changing a lot or not. Well, when I went out to feed tonight, there was no question, her udder was huge. She was hunched up and had her tail kinked out, but still up and walking around and eating. At one point we thought we saw something starting to protrude, but then it was gone. We waited a bit but she was very restless and kind of agitated with us there. So, we came in and I started dinner. Honey gave it about 20 minutes and went and checked on her, and Baby Calf! I was kind of bummed cause I really wanted to see it born, but I'm just happy he's out and everything's good. We've had stand and suck, so those first milestones are good. I need to go back out and check if she's passed the placenta, that's the only other thing. He looks nice and strong, once he figured out how to stand he was all over the place. So adorable, I'll try to get pics posted tomorrow. Hard to take pictures in the dark by a headlamp
