My leukemia's back.

Blooie, you're making my eyes leak

That's wonderful. Bless her and her family for what they've been through.

for a successful hatch!!!

Well, I'm getting chicks tomorrow. I know, I know. And I might be getting a couple more on Saturday.

That little goat is so doggone cute. Love the names....

Guess what else happens on Friday, besides the mystery unnamed person who is getting chicks......

ASHLEY HAS HER LAST DOSE OF CHEMO AND GETS TO RING THE BELL!!!!!

Oh, happy, happy, happy day!!!!!!!

You guys are good guessers, lol.

Friday I'm getting 3 Welsummers and 2 Rose Comb Legbars from a member that lives a couple hours from here!

So excited! I've been chicken-less for a year now and it feels like forever. And it feels like forever since I last had chicks (2014) so this is like being new all over again. I'm getting the brooder set up today.

SOOOO happy for you! I know what you mean about it feeling like forever when you are chicken-less - can't wait to see your new fuzybutts!

I'm looking forward to it! Not only will I get new chicks, but I'll get to meet another BYC member.

And then on Saturday I get to meet Blooie, live and in person!

This is shaping up to be a great weekend

Even better than you think, my friend! Tomorrow was supposed to be Ashley's last day of Chemo. But they took her in today to get her last counts, and guess what? SHE'S DONE! All of her little signs, and her cake, and her t-shirt all said "Last Chemo Day April 7, 2017." But instead it turned out to be April 6! And Chad, Jenna and Ashley have been keeping a bit of a secret! We have been waiting for the day Ash could ring that bell, and as it turns out, the Castle (her hospital and clinic) didn't even have one!! But this little fighter and her family fixed that! Jenna's Facebook post is below....

From Facebook, Jenna's post -

The ringing of the Bell

❤ The Castle hasn't had a bell to ring, until now. We've been talking to Wendy and asked if it was approved if we could donate a bell for the clinic and 3rd floor. She got it approved and we got it ordered, Ash got to pick out the Ring Out verse to go with it, and be the first to ring it, and it's only fitting to have Wendy hold it until it gets mounted

❤Thank you to EVERYONE who has been a part of our journey at the Castle, and for making something so scary and life changing "bearable"

And from me - I can't even begin to thank those of you who hoped with us, prayed with us, cheered with us and walked with us, both here and on another forum. My sweet sister, Linda (Ashley's gramma) has been so sick the last several months, but her deepest prayer and wish was to see Ashley's last day of Chemo. Well, you made it, Linda....now you need to stick around to see what great things Ashley is going to do. My heart is so full!!

Blooie, that's just amazing...love the bell, the sign, the shirt and the smiles. Very best wishes to Ashley and all of you

Hooray Ashley! You go, Girl! God has great things in store for you!!!

I'm looking forward to arrival of chicks next week. Don't want to count them before they hatch, but have put together a Two Appliance Box brooder in the garage for their chickie NICU. Sewing new covers for the MHP's. Plan to cover each one separate, and then use a cooling rack to join them together when I have the shipped chicks to join the bator crowd. If the snow ever goes away, the chicks will be moved to their coop with MHP pronto.

You guys have really been getting hammered up there! My word!! I am readjusting to the sound of chicks...most of the time today they've been pretty quiet, but when 17 of 'em decide to be heard, you're gonna hear 'em! They'll go out to the run on Sunday. We have to leave town tomorrow afternoon and will be gone until Saturday night. It's just easier for Katie to keep an eye on them if they're inside.
