Today is Day 50!!! Halfway to home...yippee! Of course, my poor Honey is saying "we're only half way?"....poor guy really is not meant to be alone. I'm glad he has school to keep him occupied. Yesterday he got to spend the day observing in the OR. He got to see a total knee replacement, an aortic valve replacement, and a crainotomy. How cool is that?
A bed opened up on the bone marrow transplant unit today, so I'm back in my safe floor with all my familiar nurses. Not that the other floor was bad, 14K is just home for me and I'm much more relaxed here. Still have no idea how long I'll be in the hospital, but honestly I'm glad to be here. Trying to manage this at home was just miserable. Here, it doesn't matter if I need enough pain meds I get a little fuzzy. That's what the staff is for!
