My Mom and sister came to visit today

it was kinda pathetic, I had the door to my room open, was stalking the nurses station waiting for them to be buzzed in......I do okay for the most part, but sure miss my family. I told my Mom it's a good thing, though, that I feel well enough to be bored. I could be curled in a fetal position, puking, running a fever

instead I almost feel guilty for taking up a good bed. They were having staffing issues on my floor last night and I graciously offered to go home, just to accomodate their staffing you know

. The didn't take me up on it......

I was glad to see mightymax mentioned the bone marrow registry a couple pages back. I've been on it for a long time now and she was right in saying how easy it is to get on the list as a possible donor. Got me wondering though...she's been called to donate more than once in 15 years and I've never been called to donate. Maybe my older brother has been right all these years and I really am an alien? Gotta wonder...

Checking in often, even if I don't say anything. Glad you are feeling so well, praying that your guys can come see you soon!

You all are great! Captivity's starting to wear on me, I gotta say. I've got a deal with the night shift where they do vitals and labs between 11 and midnight, then don't bother me until 5:30-6am. Gets me a solid block of sleep,and that sure helps the disposititon! Counts are low enough I'll probably get blood in the am, and bone marrow biopsy on Tuesday to confirm remission so we can move ahead finding a donor. Can't wait to see my family, although two teenage boys in a hospital room presents a challenge in itself

. Fortunately this floor has a common room with a large TV and a Wii.
