I've been getting the biopsies done under Propofol the last few times, after my pretty much horrible experience. But, they can't give that at the bedside, it has to be in the special unit with an Anesthologist, etc. That's the kicker, that unit is scheduled out a while.

But, things are good this morning. Count is up to 390, so pretty sure I'm going home tomorrow
. I'll just come back Wed for the biopsy under sedation. Leaving tomorrow or even Monday will give me 2 full weeks at home, so I'm not so worried about spending one of them driving up and back. Platelets are recovering nicely also. I'm getting a unit of red cells, they've been flirting near the transfusion number for a few days and finally made that last little drop. Means I'll be tanked up to go home and hopefully won't need to be transfused while I'm home.

Sending very best wishes to from Texas. Way back when I was an Onc Nurse. Let me assure you the nurses fight to take care of you every shift change. You're a wonderful lady and I'll be cheering and praying and thinking of and for you.

It's so funny you mention this....I do have a few that always try to get me as a patient
. Thing is, especially as stable as I am now, they give me to the float pool nurse, or the newer nurse who isn't chemo certified yet, things like that. I finally got my sweet nurse Annie back yesterday and she told the doctors I needed a mental health outing....I masked up and we went down to the balcony for a while. I really, really try not to think about the fact I've not had fresh air in a month, so it was very nice to get out for a while! The nurses here are absolutely wonderful and a great team. My gift to them is written on the white board in my room, they have a section for patient's goals. My goal since admit has been "be the most uneventful patient on the unit"
. Seriously, no one wants to be the patient a doctor finds interesting and needs to spend a lot of time on!
