My leukemia's back.

Lung stuff... bird stuff....

They couldn't be related could they be? Fungal?
I hate to even go there, but be careful of histoplasmosis.

I'd been afeered of that earlier, but when they did the bronchoscopy back in June they specifically tested for fungus and I was clean. I honestly feel I'm having the same issues now as I was then. The antibiotic they put me on when I was in the hospital in August is the same one the specialist said he'd use to treat me now, I think that's why I was better for so long. Half tempted to order some fish-cillin if it comes in Zithromax and see if I get better

I admit to taking dog antibiotics when the next available appointment was a month away.
As long as the dose is right and you don't give them up early... being alive for that appointment they are willing to let you have sometime next year would be an alright sort of thing.

NK, those CR make me want to add an other breed to my flock.  I have one SLW, and she's a nice blocky gal.  But, My Pioneer takes the prize for a big butt blocky hen.  She's huge.  When she settles onto the nest, it takes some serious muscle to budge her.  Her daughters are real pretty, and following her footsteps of being nice layers.  One of them started laying at 16 weeks.  Just like Momma.  Momma lays huge eggs.

I really love the Columbian Wyandotte. Next spring I'm getting som Maline eggs.
Good morning everyone!

I know Rachel is going to a swap today, what's everyone else up to this weekend?

We're going to spread the compost piles over the garden to get it ready for next year. Any volunteers wanting to help? Don't want anyone to miss out on a chance to have some good dirty fun, lol.

Love compost! We make ours with the tractor turning the cattle hay and manure along with the chicken house clean out. The chickens like to scratch thru it frequently.

Well, I think I need to move my son's turtle to the front porch so I will remember to feed it. If I have any fingers left after that, it is time to remove the frogs from the cow trough and get it in shape for winter hot tubbing.

I can't decide if that sounds like a country thing or a Floridian thing but I'm smiling while reading it because it makes sense to me!

Love to watch young chicks playing chase with a young frog.

I'm glad to here you can sear dentist....But don't these people understand when you can't breath you can't breath....that the one problem I have with the VA...I go in there with severe asthma symptoms and they tell me I can get seen for 3 weeks..I could be dead by then....not being able to breathe I'd the worst thing I ever go through....

hubby has the same problem. One of his meds prescribed by VA for prostate was causing his sinus to swell. He couldn't use his cpap machine. Breathing was more important!

As of this afternoon, the pulmonologist office has not received a referral from the Hematology office. The Hematology office has said they sent it earlier this week. I don't know if it got lost in the Bermuda Triangle of the Fax Machine or what....but what if I hadn't been calling? the referring office would have thought they had done their job, receiving office would have no clue something was coming, and I'd be setting here hearing "oh, they're working in it and someone will call you.......someday".

Lord, Rachel, I hope it is not lost in the Bermuda Triangle of the Fax Machine. Several years ago I was having some weird symptoms and one of the tests proscribed was a 24 hour Heart Holter Monitor. I kept a 24 hour record of ALL activities, but the electronic recording disappeared never to be seen again. It turns out that there was a simple solution to my symptoms, but the results of what I am going to assume was an expensive test were never evaluated.

Rachel...keep on them. The one time in my life I was super proactive was when I was sick. They would say something like"you don't have to make a decision right away" I would say b.s. I dont and pushed to get the best care I could. And I believe that's why I'm still here today.

Morning it's 36 degrees on the north coast of America...My point last night Rachel was stay on top of them. Any one who has had to deal with a health crisis has had to deal with stuff like referrals not getting made timely etc.
Being proactive is the only way to insure you get the treatment you deserve....Phil

My friend was up in Copper Harbor last weekend shooting video for some fishing TV show. This is downtown Copper Harbor...sees why I say I live in the woods. Pretty hillside though. Lake Superior shoreline is beautiful this time of year.

Rachel. the last place I had my mammogram at they took my new insurance card, but copied the old number off of the base line xrays.. 13year old insurance number.
The insurance company declined the claim. We called told them what they did, they resubmitted the SAME OLD NUMBER... grrr. Same lazy mistake twice, and they want us to pay late payment fees.
the insurance company says that until they put the new number on the claim they can not pay it.
I agree with the insurance company.
I never agree with the insurance company.

But that office is SO messed up... I guess they just won't get paid.
Have the hematology office send it to you and you can walk it over to them.
A good office manager is worth their weight in gold.
I think something un-ethical is going on at the place I am dealing with.
You are just dealing with incompetency.
either way -not the way health care should be run.
