My leukemia's back.

I'm sorry guys...I didn't mean to jump in on Rachels problem...I've really been a big supporter of the VA through out all its bad publicity. I really hope this is just another case of a government website not working correctly. Because it sucks enough that I have to take dam pain meds in the first place..but then to be at the mercy of a system that isn't always the most easy to deal with just makes it worse.

Well, thank you all for being so supportive. I got my refills today. Of course, some of the dosages are wrong. Instead of potassium 4 tabs twice a day, the label reads one tab 4 times a day. And the hormone replacement is three times what I actually take. But I have the cyclosporine, that's the important thing.

You've all heard about the problems with teenagers and prescription drugs, I'm sure. Pharma parties, things like that. Well, I've not worried too much about my drugs. One, I've not had much pain issues so I don't get the good stuff (thank you Lord). Two, I have good kids. Or I thought I did. Today, they were experimenting with one of Mom's drugs.

Echo has a wisdom tooth that's at that pushing in and out stage. I'm out of Orajel so I gave him some of my Miracle Mouthwash. If you've got family who had cancer, you might be familiar with this. It's a lidocaine based mouth wash they give you to numb the sores from chemo so you can eat. It's good stuff, really numbs the entire mouth. I gave him a swab to get it only on the wisdom tooth, but he got it on his tongue, etc also. So then he's going on about how weird it feels, Sugar Monkey wants to try. I have him dip his finger in and paint his mouth--he thinks it's the funniest thing. So, I wind up pouring them each an ounce or so and tell them have fun--my boys are going around with numb tongues and talking funny, it's the funniest thing. Yep, that's our little family's "walk on the wild side" with Mom's cancer drugs

Rachel, glad you got your prescriptions and I'm glad you pay attention to the labels.

One time I picked up a regularly re-filled rx, took a look at the bottle before leaving the store. The pills looked totally different from what I had been taking but my info was on the label. I went back to the pharmacist and asked if the pills had a new look to them. He about dropped through the floor. Somehow they had put someone else's rx in my bottle. The customer really has to pay attention.

Watch it with the mouthwash...I hear it's a gateway to minty floss.

Well that's how I got into the fix with my meds...they filled them for the wrong amount and I didn't catch it till they were almost gone...and let me tell you gov health care the red tape make mistakes hard to correct....glad Rachel got her meds fixed....I'm sitting here in iron mountain second long trip to see a Dr this week.

Just got back from my allergy panels.
@ronott1 was right. Dust mites -both kinds.
The odd thing is 17 years ago I was not allergic to molds and dust mites, but tree and grass pollen.
Now after 17 years of antigen therapy I am not allergic to grass and tree pollen, but I am allergic to dust mites and mold,
But I am happy because now I can do something about being miserable.

And....instead of the 500 bucks we thought the testing would cost...20 dollar copay.

I can go buy some hipa filters with the windfall!

What to do with $480........hmmmm.........

Honey's always had "allergies". Nothing diagnosed, just miserable in the spring, and often throughout the year waking with crusty eyes and sinus issues. He's got a congenital issue of no tear ducts, so that didn't help. Anyway, when I got diagnosed he bought HIPA filters for the living room and our bedroom, thinking of me, but he's the one that's really seen the benefit. No more icky eyes in the am, no coughing and hacking, no sinus issues. I had no idea there was so much crap in our air, but it's hard to beat that proof.

Good to know those really help.
I drag myself around and dread everything. I am looking forward to having the energy to enjoy things again,
