Outpost--what a beautiful flock!

I've been letting my flock range a bit too. They're staying away from the house, so as long as they do that they'll be allowed out. It's when they start encroaching on the house and pooping on the porch I draw the line!

Outpost ...I agree with Rachel...absolutely beautiful ! Just tell me one thing...how do you get them all to line up like that? Are you by chance the "Pied Piper" ? How many in your flock ?

I can't keep mine off the porch....they even learned to knock on the screen door and I'll give them treats

Mine too! Glad I am not the only one to have a "Welcome Mat" covered in poop!

This chicken was pecking at the window for quite some time before she pooped on the windowsill...Luckily the ducks and geese cannot fly high enough to do this..they poop outside the back door!

My chickens are trained well. LOL! I pour out a bucket of layer pellets on the ground before I open the coop door. They know the routine & run straight for the line of feed. Haven't done an official count in a while. My guess is 110-120. We had 150 this past summer, but we've lost a bunch. We know when one is missing though. Believe it or not.

Me too...I count all of my flock(s) when nightfall begins...I know most of them by their name(s)...it is like a role call...anyone missing is easily identified and then the torch hunt begins to find the missing one...glad I am not the only one that knows when one is missing..thought I was weird...!
