My leukemia's back.

maybe I'll look into a light, and ask about getting my Vit D checked. I was low last spring, immediately post transplant, but I told them it was no wonder--I was in Portland, Land of No Sunshine. I think everyone who lives there is on vit D supplements lol. Anyway, my levels came back up and I got off the supplements last summer sometime. But now it's cloudy and icky and who knows? I'm not depressed, but everyone could probably use a little boost.

Phil, getting out and about sure helps. Your wife having an infection can sure lead to increased depression or other behavior changes, so hopefully some antibiotics (and some yogurt, don't forget that part!) will help her out.

I understand what you mean about being a poor cheerleader. Honey has issues with depression and sometimes I just get so tired of it. I know it's a chemical thing, etc....but living with it sometimes you just want to shake them and scream at them to snap out of it

. Life's not that freakin' horrible!

Thank you @sourland , nice of you to say! It's my very first attempt at something like that so I learned some new things (always a plus) and it was kind of fun

NFC, that's adorable!

I used to host a gingerbread house assembly and decoration every year for our friends. I made the pieces and they came out and assembled and decorated. Everyone brought candy and I made up the royal icing.

If you're going to do more, here are some tips....

You an use a sugar syrup recipe for icicles. It's been so long I don't remember it right off, but you can google it. It makes them clear instead of white and they're sturdier.

You can crush and melt butterscotch candies to be glued on the insides of your window holes. they give the appearance of a fire glowing inside, or maybe candles. Very cozy looking. Probably not for a coop, though. Someone would fuss at you for having a heat lamp on in the coop

I think the cutest gingerbread house I saw was this last year at the county fair. One of the 4-H kiddos did a gingerbread tree house. I just though it was so creative.

Thanks for looking you guys! I appreciate the comments

Rachel, those parties sound like fun. I'm already thinking about making another one next year, I'll have to visit with you for pointers. That melted butterscotch idea is a good one. I had to Google gingerbread tree houses to get an idea of the one you saw...wow, talk about some balancing acts!

Okay, that Gingerbread House is officially WAY cute! Good job! I've never made one....they scare the pee-wadding out of me. Evan makes a train one every year. He and Tam have a great time doing it and every year he gets better and better at it. I should probably try one....I dunno...

Come on Blooie, try one! We need more entries in the contest and it would be fun to see what you come up with. Get Evan to help you out, he'd probably enjoy that
