My leukemia's back.

The only thing I've ever found that helped me is Relpax. Migraines are miserable - you feel like you're going to die and you're afraid you won't be that lucky! <sigh> I've had a lot of junk happen to me in my lifetime - gangrene, 3 surgeries on the same hip, hip aspirations, multiple stents in the arteries in my legs, Botox injections from my scalp down to my mid back, neck fusion, but nothing, NOTHING will lay me lower faster than a migraine! I don't always have the "luxury" of stopping my day as my doctor has recommended when a migraine hits. Kendra is here every weekday and her needs can be pretty demanding. If not for the Relpax, I wouldn't be able to function and that's not an option!

I'm glad yours has gone to sleep, Turtles. That's what we call it around here because they never really go away - they're always hanging around, waiting to wake up when you least expect it. THey pounce, like a fox on a mouse!

I finally found my migraines were hormone triggered. Had some icky years when I was on birth control pills and didn't make the connection. I was with 3GE---Motrin and benadryl, sometimes with a wine cooler and go to bed. Thankfully, I was in a time when that was possible to do. Blooie, I totally understand not being able to baby them with your lifestyle and am glad you found a good med for them. I agree research has come a long way in treating and preventing them.

The dogs treed a raccoon last night, Honey went out and shot it but this am we can't find it

. There's a lot of blood on the ground so we don't think it went far. I'm just thinking when things get warmer it's going to stink

wherever it crawled off. Ick. but good dogs!

Phil, how's the breathing doing? About back to baseline? I've noticed the colder is affecting me a little, but not too much.

hi Rachel...my breathing is okay. The bronchitis is gone..just asthma copd stuff now.
I have some really good news to share.
Yesterday I got a letter in the mail from the VA. I was awarded a 100% disability rating. I've been at 90% for years but refused to quit a working until this fall when it just got too miserable to keep going on. It got to where I was just pounding myself with morphine to push through the pain and keep working. So this is a blessing I really needed.
It's strange because I've worked since I was 12 years old. First with paper routes and then I went on from there.
My body can finally take a break.
Thanks again everyone for the support you all provide...and I'm here for any one of you guys too...Phil

Thanks for reminding me, I need to get that piece of salmon in the smoker!

good for you on the disability. I can't tell you how weird it's been to not work, and I'm still hoping to go back sometime this year. I think you've earned your retirement!

That's great news on the change in your rating Phil. You've earned it and everything coming in helps. Hopefully that helps with any stress you may have been having too. You can still work, now you'll just work on the things that you want to work on!

salmon!!! What kind....my favorite to smoke is sockeye...but it's a bit pricey here. Locally we catch Chinook and coho. I never smoke coho cuz it's so yummy on its own.

Well, I'm losing it here! I thought I'd posted here but I see I was mistaken. Kids stopped by for a minute and I got distracted!

Anyway, I have an extra BYC calendar coming if anyone would like it. I have to start checking the prizes in contests I enter a little better!
