My leukemia's back.

@Blooie sorry about your girl. That stinks.

bought my mother-in law red sex link chicks last may. they still have not started laying. i'll have to tell her to watch for reproduction issues. so use to have buffs, a bobcat and stray dog wiped her out. we built her a new pen and chicks for her birthday.

Gosh, must be something in the air today! Think I'll hold my breath until midnight! Sorry about your little lamb, too!

Kendra is so special. I'm glad folks enjoyed her video with Bumblebee. She actually said a couple of words, too, which is really cool!

I heard her words! I was surprised, but she's getting to be a Chatty Cathy, isn't she? And that hen was so sweet about being held. sorry about your ill hen, that's a rough one to deal with. At least i just found mine, I didn't have to do the deed myself. I'm fine butchering a cockerel, but like you said, culling a layer for laying too much is just insult to injury.

the eye Dr kind of bummed me out today. Plugging tear ducts isn't an option. He said with all the graft vs host I'm running into in other areas, I'm "probably in the calm before the storm with my eyes". He says most folks get extreme dry eyes and I'll probably be headed that way, that they're already dry but overcompensating with excess tear production. So, he wants to start me on Restasis, which he says is cyclosporine for the eyes, plus artificial tears 4 times a day, oh and you need these funky butt-ugly sunglasses with padding around the edges to protect your eyes from any wind that will dry them out, and fish oil supplements....it all got a little overwhelming. I'm getting tired of being told there are more things wrong with me. I need to remember the echo was good, though. if I had to chose between a bad heart and bad eyes, I'd pick eyes every day of the week. But it's still overwhelming. I honestly thought after this transplant I'd be back to a normal state of health and that's just not going to happen. Oh, and since I'm now on Medicare, not Medicaid, apparently I have deductibles or co pays. Funny how my income didn't change but now I can afford $145 for an eye appointment, according to the gooberment. Sheesh.

NO butt-ugly glasses!!! Do a search for riding sunglasses. I have some really cute ones that I used to wear when I rode my motorcycle.

Sorry about the drops and the meds and the cost of visits. No need to wear ugly glasses though!

can we vote on the glasses. send pics and we'll vote on the ones we like. you would think we had nothing better to do than to try and pick out someone else's eyewear. maybe we don't. Hey I kind of like these .

any one else got suggestions?

Rachel I'm so sorry.
I really wish you could catch a break.
I have to hope the G v H will start to settle down. You can get some nice motorcycle riding sunglasses that have the same padding and don't look butt crack ugly.
I don't understand your doctors sometimes. They always seem to go negative on you. G v H should settled down after a while.
I wish you had my doctors. I had my transplant at U of M (Michigan). The doctor that did my transplant was the Dr that perfected non related transplants. I had the best of the best.
I have confidence in your ability to overcome. Like I've said before I am here because I pushed myself. And I didn't let anything stop me.
So just keep showing up here every day. And keep living your life. You are stronger than your obstacles.....
......Phil
