What a beautiful family
Sour, I figured the perfect way to tell DH about the chicks I ordered. When he got up, I gave him a box of chocolates (with duck dynasty on it!), and a heartfelt card. He said he felt SO BAD that he had not been out to get me anything.......oh yeah! I know opportunity when it knocks! I said, "Oh, honey, no worries! I actually ordered a few chicks and I just knew you wouldnt mind if I got my own valentines gift.............". He just smiled lovingly. No need to tell him how much they cost. Wouldn't want to ruin the moment.![]()
I think I'd choose insulin, if it were up to me.I didn't take any pics. We're just not picture people, apparently. I know with the phones it's kind of a picture world, but we just don't think of it. Old school, I guess. But you know what a foot long rainbow trout looks like, just multiply that by 24. That was what was in my oven last night.....they tasted great! Now I just have to figure out what to do with the leftovers. Thankfully Honey loves to eat fish. We've had enough lately, usually I can't get enough but I'm finally maxed out. Kind of burnt out on eggs, too. doesn't happen too often, but every once in a while I simply can't eat another egg. It was cereal for breakfast this morning.![]()
Sorry about the failed dc on the prednisone. I do agree the weather could have a lot to do with it. I'm glad I had the talk with the pulmo guy and understand I'll probably be on it to some degree always. I can handle playing with the dose, tapering or bursting as needed, if I understand that's what's going to happen. Do you ever go with the 1mg tabs? or just 5 mg changes? I'm wondering if the 1mg would be worth messing with, if it would really make that much difference.
Anyone on here take Glucophage/metformin? My pcp started me on it for my sugars and I think it's doing a job on my stomach. She told me it could cause nausea. The RX is for 1000mg XR tabs, 1 or 2 with evening meal. I was taking 2 at night, but was awake on and off all night with nausea. I split the dose to one in the am, one in the pm, now I'm just kind of nauseated or have an unhappy stomach all the time. Any ideas? I do take it with food, and I'm eating okay still. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing. I really don't want to take nausea meds to tolerate my diabetes meds.......course, I'd like to get off the diabetes meds altogether, but with the steroids just not sure if that's happening.
I'm going to put together a meal for our friends who lost his mom last week, using the chicken breast I got on a great sale. My standby is Farmhouse Chicken, basically a creamed chicken with a stuffing topping. Anyone have any other ideas?
