Funny how here there is such an appetite for British programming and over there it was the opposite......

3 stations and nothing on to watch...now 300 stations and nothing on to watch...not much change
LOL - so true - except if you find the "oldies" (ie nick at night type stuff) channel where you can watch the shows from the good ol' days........

Love that British humor. Keeping Up Appearances. Just loved the never ending, always the same, predictable, yet always funny "better than thou" shenannigans of Hyacinth. And poor, poor Richard! Mr Bean! Loved the Christmas one where his girlfriend is hinting for an engagement ring, and the one where he was getting dressed in his little car on the way to work. How bout Carol Burnette, and Lucille Ball? Why can't they do humor like that any more? Now, if it's not about sex, it's not considered funny.

Got to agree..Hyacinth (Mrs Bucket...to the postman)....and Mr. Bean...oddly enough a French neighbour of ours looks like Mr. Bean....

There's a Mr. Bean look alike who works with me. Any one ever seen a video called "Faye's 12 Days of Christmas"? It's a roll on the floor laughing video if you're a dog lover. It's a video of Faye, her husband and her 2 children, as they prepare for Christmas. Faye, and her family are Weimeriners. (?sp.) They're dressed up in people clothes, and in tangent with people, so you see the dog head, and people hands doing all of the Christmasy activities.

Isn't that the truth about the sex --- and it's not just the programming itself, so much of the advertising is nothing but sex, sex, sex -- don't get me wrong, I am far from a prude, but I am just SO tired of seeing it everywhere. It's insulting, frankly, that *they* think somehow making it about sex is the only way to sell a burger.....or a drain cleaning product.

Howdy all you peeps.... It's Friday.... Enjoy.... Weekend is just about here.
