My leukemia's back.

Well of course it is! The movie didn't have a Princess, right?

I'm glad things went well for her. Getting up in front of a bunch of folks is something I try to avoid at all costs, so I'm always impressed when someone else is good at it.

JWB--that's a lot of butchering! Good for you--I'll bet it's much, much quieter. And way less feed, those roosters are great big freeloaders and eat a ton.

Someone please please tell me I'm not the only one who hates costume or dress-up days/weeks at work

. This week the office staff is going to have fun and we get to dress up in pajamas, Hawaiian, 50's, sports team, and costume of choice. For me, this is anything but fun. I don't have anything appropriate for any of those themes. I have jeans and sweats, and I have some nice work clothes. Gee, didn't think to pick up any Hawaiian shirts when I was work shopping.....grrrr. I have one long sleeved flannel nightgown I may wear into work, but I'll have to take something else to change into cause our office runs a good 75 degrees during the day. Yep, flannel and longsleves have a temperature expiration, and it's way less than 75. Plus, it's what I wear in the mornings to go tend the chickens before I get dressed in my work clothes, and I'm pretty sure there's pieces of hay stuck to it

. That'll give me the itchyscratchies for sure. For the other days, I have no idea. I'm frugal enough I'm not going to go spend money, and honestly I don't even want to go check Good will or something like that. I've already spent time and money getting clothes for work...this is stressing me out.

Anyway, besides the whining, things are going well. Both the oldest boys are working at McDonalds now, so that's a nice change. We're still trying to work out schedules and chores and things and stuff, but it's a good life

Blooie, I think your solution to the team jersey shirt was perfect!

Absolutely - couldn't agree more, what better team to support?

Donrae, I love most dress up days. Working at a bank, we don't do that. But at previous employers, we did. The only one that makes my skin crawl is pajama day. There are folks that run around town to the grocery and whatnot in their pajamas. Just too lazy to get dressed! I hate it. I won't let my daughter participate in pajama day at school because I don't want to promote it. Pajamas are made for private at home time.

The tests were hard today. I'll be real surprised if I ever hear back from them. In the meantime, I'll keep job searching.:D

Rachel, You're not the only one. When I'm getting dressed for work on 3/17, if I've chosen any clothing that has green in it, it goes back in the closet. Won't even wear green socks that day! 2/14: NO red or pink for me. Christmas: You'll not see me with a Santa hat, or any of the other commericalized Christmas garb. 10/31: Nope... I'll not do anything that remotely resembles a costume. I will eat the candy that appears on that day, or any other day, though! I absolutely refuse to bow to the lemming mentality re: clothing for work. Not a religious thing, just a me thing! Feel free to choose not to participate. You could cut out a picture of the "costume of the day" and pin it to your shirt, with a sign that says: "this is my Hawaiian shirt!" or what ever.

Blooie, the team Ashley thing was perfect. If someone told me I had to wear a team shirt, especially one depicting my favorite team, it sure wouldn't be happening! When my BIL watches the Patriots and gets all cranked up about them playing, I'll sit beside him on the couch, and when he starts yelling, I'll just casually ask him, "Did someone just shoot a basket?" The next time he'll start yelling and hooting, I'll ask him, "Who just scored a home run???" Then, I can turn my attention back to my seed catalog, or something else of equal importance that matters to ME!!!

To all of you trying to get into shape, I was looking through my workout urls and I found this.
She uses some heavy weights, I suggest 2 or three pounds to start with, Or some canned beans and work up from there.
