My leukemia's back.

Sending prayers and positivity into the airwaves to you. I have been a stem cell donor and a blood recipient so I know the blessing of both! The other day I walked into the Red Cross collection bus at the Moose Lodge and thanked all the workers and donors. Pinky

To all of you trying to get into shape, I was looking through my workout urls and I found this.
She uses some heavy weights, I suggest 2 or three pounds to start with, Or some canned beans and work up from there.

From the wall push ups you can move to table push ups.
I so can not do a floor push up.
maybe one half 'up' but it is more like a urp.

Reminds me of one of my favorite bits by John Pinette.......
Quote: So, see, by not doing ups we are being good citizens!!!

Donrae, I love most dress up days. Working at a bank, we don't do that. But at previous employers, we did. The only one that makes my skin crawl is pajama day. There are folks that run around town to the grocery and whatnot in their pajamas. Just too lazy to get dressed! I hate it. I won't let my daughter participate in pajama day at school because I don't want to promote it. Pajamas are made for private at home time.

The tests were hard today. I'll be real surprised if I ever hear back from them. In the meantime, I'll keep job searching.:D

JWB, what are pajamas?

Sleepwear?  Are you folks talking in code?

Yeah I'd really get in trouble if I showed up in what I wore (or didn't wear) to bed....

It is attire for richer folks to wear to walmarts and grocery stores. I don't waste my money:D. Around here, clothes get changed so many times, work, school, chickens, going out, etc. My laundry pile would be crazier if I added pajamas to the mix.:th

My daughter's teacher has 2 incubators fired up. We gave him 5 dozen eggs before we butchered the roosters, so they are all cooking and due to hatch next week. Today is a BIG DAY!!! I have a vacation day. Today I was asked to bring in a chicken to show the kids and do a "presentation". So, I'm loading up one of the good hens & we are headed to school! I'm also taking my iPad to show pics of the flock, a double yolk egg to crack open and show them, a little cup of layer feed, and a couple worms. I can't wait to see their faces when the hen gobbles up those worms! We live in a secluded little city & there are a lot of farmers around, but most are grain farmers. I was very surprised at the lack of knowledge my daughter's friends have for "where the food comes from". Maybe I should take one of the roosters we processed in the ziplock bags.....just kidding. Have a great day!

Might be good trouble - "just sayin'."
Yep, seen it around here too. When did it become ok to wear sleep wear in public? I don't understand the whole pj's and slippers to shop in.

Ridiculous. Is it a fashion statement or just plain laziness?

Have fun with it. I've done this 2 years in a row for 5 first grade classes. Last year, they didn't bat an eye when I discussed the contributions of a chicken: weed control, insect control, tilling, entertainment, eggs, and meat. This year, they were grossed out by the mention of meat. I'll not leave that part out, b/c... IMO this current generation is so segregated from knowledge of where our food comes from.

LAZINESS!!! That's my vote.
I think it boils down to changing standards. Amazing how much skin I can see hanging out when I go out to run errands. And what's this about skin tight pants? Not just jeans on skinny little anorexic girls. But the skin tight jersey or "exercise wear" pants and tops that are so tight you can almost see skin between the weave of the fabric. They leave absolutely NOTHING to the imagination. They show up on all shapes and sizes. Forget about TSA at the airports. No x-rays needed. Everybody could just paint a pair of those on! I'm all about comfort, and IMO, one's BMI should not dictate whether one wears shorts or capri's in public. (If so. I'd be doomed to misery) But, one can dress comfortably without showing off too much flesh.
