So I called the pharmacy. the lancets have been ordered QID, but the strips are still BID.

Ya gotta laugh to keep from crying, right? I could NOT make this stuff up.

Sold two chicks this morning. I'm still trying to figure out who is the Marans to replace the wrong breed I sold by accident.

So, half the time, you stick your finger and test your blood. The other half of the time, you stick your finger, and watch it bleed for a bit, wipe it off, and throw the lancet away.

Yeah, Honey and I have been having fun with that one. Vampire jokes, guessing what the sugar is by looking at the blood, etc.

So, I finally up and gave notice at work today. I figured since I was in tears by 9 am, it's time to go.

So here's the funny thing. I was going to wait and talk to the boss around 4:30. Be able to make a quick exit, you know? Well, at 3:30 she packs her stuff and says "Have a good week" and she's outta there so fast. I'm asking co-workers..."a good week? doesn't she mean weekend?" Nope, apparently she's off next week. So, now I look like I waited until she was going to be gone to put in my notice. I gave a copy of the notice to the Admin I really like, and a handwritten note about the above. Said I must have missed the e-mail about her taking the week off. Shouldn't the boss send out something like that? Am I supposed to follow her on FaceBook to find out when she's working? Just one of the many, many reasons I need to leave.

We made it to traverse city to pick the grandkids up....

CROSSING the Mackinac Bridge is always a big part of the trip that never gets old. Is a beautiful huge bridge....alot of people are afraid to drove across it. I've driven over it hundreds of times.....the veiw is breath taking.

Yep. Some jobs are just in your face: difficult people to work with, difficult administration, not given the authority or the tools to be a successful employee. Been there, done that many times over. Usually giving notice becomes the best day at work of entire tenure at that particular job. Congratulations to you on a very well made decision.

Phil, sounds like you are gonna have a great time. catch a big one for me, and fry it up over an open fire... or at least on the grill.
