My leukemia's back.

Anyone want to hazard a guess on hen or rooster for this 4 month old English Lavender Orpington?

And just because Feather was curious:
400

She is the only one left from our original first flock. So friendly, gentle and curious! She comes running for treats and wants to be held.
And last our bielefelder or cream legbar rooster:

400

Any help on which it is?

Blessings to everyone today! Make a good memory today!

Don't want rain like this again...!
There's a park and ride lot in town for the bus to NYC. We have lived her for 51 years, and it has never flooded. Last week it flooded like your pictures. We are surely in a spell of extreme weather fluctuations.

We are desperate for rain.....we have so many fires all around us right now that we can't even see the mountains - and the Pryors are only 8 miles from my house. <sigh> I have an appointment this afternoon with my primary to get stuff for my nebulizer and some Albuterol fast acting. When thunderstorms do roll in, we get verga, thunder, and dry lightening. Nothing like putting a match to tinder. I just wish the mean-well-but-don't-live-heres would understand that when an area of forest gets beetle killed, those dead trees are perfect for starting fires. And the irony is that the trees are dead before they LOOK dead, the beetles have long since moved on to healthy trees and it takes those newly infected trees a few years to die from the damage. In the meantime, the beetles once again move to a new area. If they would just allow us to clear out the dead, plus the an area around the dead stuff, we could really build up a strong healthy forest again without it costing so much in time, money, lives, and property damage to fight the resulting fires. Common sense is a dying art.

I think that's why I have so much dead wood around my property. Nothing else to explain why the fir trees are all dying. Makes every wind storm a bit scary. We can't go out and cut all that stuff down. Too much of it, and it's on the neighbor's land. Just pray that God will send the wind blowing in the right direction.

HB, I'm surprised that Lav Orp is not crowing yet. Pretty bird.

Bark Beatles are a huge problem in California:

29 million dead trees!

When we bult our cabin in the SoCal mountains, the bark beetle had hit our property pretty hard. Edison came and took out all the dead trees within 100 feet of the power lines, and we paid to have the rest removed. We did get some FEMA money to reimburse part of the cost, which we were thankful for. But it was so, so sad to lose all those trees.

@ronott1 that picture Is heartbreaking:(. We have serious issues with Emerald Ash Borer Beetle & Long Horned Asian Beetles. The Ash Borer has almost wiped out all of Ohios old, giant Ash trees.

Here was the same pathway to the coop last night:
