Phil, glad to hear you are doing better, take care of yourself![]()
Have a great Thursday everyone!
So......who here has had cataract surgery?
I woke up Saturday with a blurry spot on my right eye. Got in to see the eye guy today, yep, my very own homegrown cataract. Not too much of a shocker, they'd told me with the prednisone it was more a matter of when, not if. I've got an appt with the surgery lady on the 4th of October to discuss things. Just looking for any input here? I guess not so much of a should I or shouldn't I, cause it pretty much needs to happen. More like, what should I do post op, any tricks or tips?
We had our first calf today! Our little heifer is no longer a heifer, she had her very own little heifer calf.e I haven't even been to see them yet, and might not get to go tonight. this boarding animals thing stinks! But....baby calf
I'll get pics as soon as I can.
Phil, glad you're doing better-ish. I'm still thinking I might need to bump up a touch. I'll wait until Monday and see how things go. I've been going in to work for a few hours the last 7 days, and I think that may have taken a bit of a toll also.
Phil: Sorry for your news. But, along with the bad news comes a silver lining. There are far worse things than being a diabetic. Like being an undiagnosed diabetic! A lot of damage can be done by the not knowing, and not taking care of it. My Hubby has been a Type 1 atypical diabetic for 22 years. (due to surgical loss of pancreas) He's on an Insulin pump. And aside from having to keep track of his BS, he eats pretty much what he wants. Type II more often has greater diet restrictions. And sometimes a Type II can get back to normal BS simply through wt loss, diet, and exercise. All diabetics benefit greatly from proper nutrition and exercise (as do the rest of us) But, what I'm saying is: it's manageable. As for the depression, I'm glad you are following up on that as well You have enough physical issues without letting depression rob you even more. I wish you the best with that, and pray that you will get some really effective treatment without them yanking you around too much. Glad the breathing is getting better. Any Antibiotics in sight for you??? Hoping the allergy testing and shots work for you. Hang in my friend. Better day ahead.Okay peeps I guess I'm now a full blown diabetic.
Today's appointment was an eye opener.
Gonna have to diet for real this time.
And the doctor told me he will set me up for a counsel to get allergy shots so I hopefully can deal with the dogs.
I told him my dogs are my kids now days. I also told him I really need to see someone about my depression.
So often these days I just don't feel it....... Breathing is good off and on. Hopefully this can chest cold will just go away....... Really got the steroid jitters at the moment.
It just doesn't get more precious than that!!!
