My leukemia's back.

Well....not dem bears, but....

The truck is considered a total loss. Even our faithful diesel mechanic, who was optimistic after talking to Honey, said it's a no go after he saw it in person. This stinks. Finding a replacement is not going to be easy. I'm floating the idea of a temporary type rig for the next 1-2 years, instead of a "everything I want in a truck" rig right now. We do need a truck, we haul hay, firewood, trailers/boats, etc. But I'm not sure we need a diesel, etc. In another year, he should have his RN (one class down--yippee!!!) and our money will be different. We just don't want to take on a payment right now. I have Dave Ramsey's voice in my head about that.....bless his bald-headed little heart.

I"m going to try to consolidate the chickens over the next few days, to make the work less for Sugar Monkey. Plus, I think the birds are still wasting a lot of feed. I need to investigate options for feeding, my frugal soul just can't stand wasting money like that.

Finally melted most of the snow. We didn't flood really here, I guess it was gradual enough. Hope everyone is keeping warm and dry!

And I have no clue? Someone help me out......

Well dagnabit -- that just stinks! So sorry about the truck being a loss -- and I totally agree with finding a good "for now" truck to get you through. With so much else on your plate at the moment adding another monthly bill to the equation just doesn't make sense.
Your snow melted and we got dumped on, lol, another snow day has already been declared for tomorrow and then MLK day Monday so they won't go back until Tuesday. They went ONE DAY this week (Tuesday) - going to have to find something for the boy and I to do this weekend.

Your good intentions are commendable, but have you any idea how insulting this statement is? Some of the people on this thread are health care professionals (the OP, for example, is a nurse) and you have just told them that they don't want to help their patients?! This kind of fearmongering conspiracy gobbledygook really damages not only your credibility, but also that of the "cures" you are touting.

Very well said, Bunny!

I'm banned from watching television right now. The absolute hypocrisy of politics drives me nuts, and I ended up swearing at and threatening bodily harm to the TV yesterday. The Princess told me that I am no longer allowed to watch television.

LOL - sounds like our house but it's me that gets in trouble -- I just turn the channel every/any time anything remotely political comes on -- stay tuned in long enough to catch the weather and I'm out!

In my last post I suggested people research the information. Here are two sources for researching any medical issue. www.greenmedinfo.com and www.pubmed.gov.

No more suggestions from me. Good luck to all.
I guess I misunderstood. I thought your other last post was your last post.....

I mean no disrespect, sir. However, might I gently suggest that until and unless you have fought the battle with as much hope, faith, humor and grace as Donrae and Phil have, your advice is falling on deaf ears. Your name and message seems familiar to me. I'm wondering if you are the same gentlemen who was here a few months ago giving us the name of your book and how to purchase it on Amazon. I apologize if I am incorrect, but the coincidence seems a little too strong.

I am sure you mean well and believe in what you are saying. If you'd like to join us in prayer for Donrae, Phil, and the hands that helped them recover, I'm sure you'd be welcomed. Anything other than that is just a tad on the pushy side.

Well said Blooie.... I sent a similar post earlier but for some reason it didn't post.... I was upset when I realized it didn't but didn't want to spend the time to rewrite it....

You all are too funny!

Quickly popping on with a prayer request for anyone still awake. In the ED with Echo. He's had a migraine for the last 3 days. Thought it broke earlier today but it came back and brought reinforcements. Poor kiddo. 4 tries to finally get an IV in, now he's got the cocktail on board and we're waiting to see how things work.

I hate being on my phone.
