My leukemia's back.

I think Sour has banana envy

Seems like such a happy little fella.

On our local news that had a segment on kids who had just completed their chemo sessions. Apparently at this hospital the day of their last treatment they get to ring this large bell. Watching these kids joyously celebrate made me cry.

That would be one of those happy teary times for sure.

I think Blooie said her niece (grand-niece?) will get to ring the bell soon. Until she mentioned it in a post, I didn't know that's how those occasions were marked. Very nice.

I never got to ring a bell, now I'm feeling left out.

but maybe it's cause I had to have a transplant? Since they call it "the gift that keeps giving"....there's really no end, so no bell ringing for us?

Well, I hope I saved us about $500 last night

Our computer took a dump recently. don't ask me what happened, something with the hard drive died. Anyway, went to Costco to buy a new one.

My Honey, bless his heart, is always go big or go home. He gravitated right toward the Dell for a grand. Ultra "Whites of Their Eyes" graphics card, 2 Thousand Gallons of Memory, etc. Well, practical Rae pointed out exactly what we use our computer for. No gaming. Not a ton of storage. I'd checked our old computer when it started having issues, we used less than half it's memory. Basically, we use it for the Web, paying bills, and he does his school there. Nothing that needs all the bells and whistles. So, we went with the $500 HP instead. Got it up and running today, we'll see how it does. I honestly think it will do everything we need. And if not, well, we got it at Costco. They'll take it back in 90 days if we don't like it. Woo Hoo!

Had some sad news last night. I went out to feed and my rooster crush, Eric, was dead. I knew he hadn't done well since I'd moved him and his ladies back into the main coop, but I was kind of stunned he up and died. I thought he'd just mope around a while then get over it as spring sprung. But I guess he just couldn't wait? I don't know. Kind of upset. I'm not a pet bird person, but I've had him since 2013 and he was the only bird I hand fed on a regular basis. He was a wonderful rooster to the ladies, and helped raise chicks. So tolerant. I'm going to miss him.

Rachel, so sorry about Eric. He was a handsome guy and sounds like a good one too. It always stinks to lose a "special" one.
