My leukemia's back.

Have faith and wait.

I'm so going to make a photo saying with that. Have Faith and wait. Love it..simple, but so true. Faith is what holds me together at times, I know that for sure.

Yeah, I was going through a really rough patch in life. Both of my parents were diagnosed with dementia within 6 months of one another and I was there care giver. Finally had to put dad in a nursing home so I could take care of mom who had a very violent form of the disease. By the time they got it under control with medicine, she was actively dying and pretty much bed ridden.

One day I got a chance to get out for a walk. I was pretty much a wreck, emotionally and physically. As I walked I passed a church and that was written on their Marquee out front.

The simple words Have Faith and Wait.

I hung on to those words for dear life. Mom passed in 99, dad in 06. I met DH in 05 and we married in 07.

Life is good, but those simple words got me through a pretty rough time in my life.

Yes, it's been so sad to see the changes in my DH with this Dementia. This medication he is on now sure seems to be working better than the first. I still have, most of my Scotty Man, as I like to say. When he has a bad day, it's hard to get to sleep at nights, knowing the reality of it. I do a lot of talking to my Heavenly Father.
