My leukemia's back.

'Al', good kid. :hugs The rest sucks rocks. I know the feeling of helplessness when dealing with diminishing health of a parent. :he Been there, done that, now in the position where we are aging. :old Hopefully we will be able to make things easier for our kids - so far so good.

Well... I have a cold, mostly just this horrid cough, so just a reason to whine.

My dad is still in that horrid limbo of alive, but not working to get better. He is even getting my mom to spend nights at his side. (he alternates between an actual hospital and a high need nursing home that sucks rocks).

I worry about my mom a great deal... nothing I can do though.

My eldest is down there now, so he cooks for her when she stops by the house long enough to eat. (and yes, he cleans up the kitchen when done ) But there isn't much more he can do for her.

And my eldest is being super honored the week of July 4th.... but that was decided this last Monday. And he needs fancy clothes... and I thought I had done great at finding exactly what he wanted, website said that they had a 5 week turn around... great, just barely works. ...

ordered.... they emailed back with a "dear valued customer, did you need the order for a specific date? Because it will be finished 9/22"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anything faster will look like a Walmart special!

OK... fine.... we can borrow stuff for the ceremony in July. BUT WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! !!!!
This is in Texas? Are you going to Texas if so?

My brother has been type 1 diabetic since he started college. He is very disiplained and probably better informed than some of his past doctors. He also has a pacemaker & defib thing. Sometimes he feels like the bionic man or something. He is stoic and meets the challenges as they emerge. I'm am very proud of him. He is the baby of the family 67 , I'm 70 and sister is 74.

One of my Great Uncles was like that. He had cardiovascular issues--lost his leg when he was in his thirties. He made it to be abut 65 and died of a massive stroke. Hew was in good shape up to then though and made it that far past expectations
