My leukemia's back.

Gack, GAC!! How scary!!! And how unnecessary!!! Hope she heals up quickly now.

I have a huge problem. I have a huge dog. That huge dog loves to chew ice cubes....I toss her a few and she lays in the grass happily crunching away. I put several in her water bowl outside to keep her water cooler and she'll fish them out and eat them.

This morning she figured out where they come from....that little lever on the front of the fridge will give her a whole bunch of them at one time, and they bounce when they hit the hardwood floor! Bonus? Her nose is so big that when she hits the ice button she also hits the water dispenser button! Ice comes out one side and a stream of cold water comes out of the little nozzle right beside it! She's delerious with unrestrained joy at her power! Time to test the "lock" button. "Let's get an Irish Wolfhound" we said. "It'll be fun!" we said.

Oh, I laughed so hard picturing this & the fed ex guy! :gig:lau:gig I'm convinced that every time you laugh it adds a few extra healthy minutes to your life, so thank you! :hugs

Howdy all, and sleep well!

And updates!

@perchie.girl how are you doing? Do you get a follow-up. ... or nothing until a scan in 5 months... or something?

@FridayYet how is your hole after the operation.... finally healed up? The smaller spots any better, or the same?

Had my first return visit after Radiation to my Oncologist Gyn Surgeon. He wants to see me every three months for a while...Making note of the healing progress. Apparently My healing is kind of slow to his preferences... But I am not in pain nor am I dependant on immodium... YAY.

He was happy that I had my bipap machine... and concerned that I was doing Ketogenic diet on my own. Didnt say as much but asked if I was doing it with help. I told him I had bough carefully researched books... And that the Cardeologist had recommended it.

ON a good note I have to be careful when I stand up or my britches want to fall off....

Not quite Keto but Very mindful of my carbs.

Oh and I am off the prednazone and it took about a week for my knees to start hurting again... BUT the weight coming off has made them hurt less... My nest doctors appointment for my primary doc I am going to ask to be put on a dose for Arthritis to see if that helps. Any thing to keep from having to use Alieve... Because right now i am up with heart burn big time... Took it too late in the day.

And if you can ease the pain in your knees, you’ll be able to move more. The more you can move, the more you’ll lose and the more lose the less you’ll hurt.

Good morning, Team Rachel.

I know I missed 2 people..... :he

@Alaskan, quit banging your head against that wall. You can ill afford that activity.

@perchie.girl, "Not quite keto" - that's what I have been doing to cut down on inflammation. It helps. Hands are better, right shoulder is good, and left shoulder is improving. Weight loss and lowered blood pressure has been another benefit. I cheated yesterday and had French fries and a burger with a roll and body parts are complaining. Yep, pants are falling off and belt is back to the 'high school' notch. Yes I still have the belt that I wore in high school.

She will call his office this coming week, to ask about it. There is no mention of it in her paperwork, but the medications he gave her to take for 2 weeks, should actually deal with it all. He has her taking doxycycline, and flagyl (metronidazole), along with a couple other things. Her follow up visit with him is in a month, so I guess he may run tests again, and go from there. She's noticed a big improvement already. Not as much pain, no headaches, and when she sleeps she feels rested.
