We had lint in the air on Saturday. Luckily it isn't cold enough for the lint to stick to the ground yet.

Yesterday I had to explain to DW that what she was seeing falling from the sky was lint, not what she THOUGHT it was.

Actually, once I get the yard mowed one more time to pick up all the leaves that blew down on Saturday, i will be OK if we got some of the white stuff. Just not ready for a "lint" storm to accumulate as the vacuum cleaner has not been put on the tractor yet. DH is still putting it together, lol.

We had a lint outbreak here over night last week. DH witnessed the phenomena. I'd rather believe he was walking in his sleep and dreaming at the same time....just not that ready for .....ummmmm enough lint to shovel yet.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, the house smells wonderfully like banana bread, the coops are cleaned, the chickens are happy or at least what passes for happy in their little world, I'm happy. Just wanted to drop in and say HI! to everyone at Team Rachel.

So this is where everybody at the Old Folks Home hangs out when the action lags there.

Mine too...they look horrible! Not so much bare, but scruffy. Like they were playing touch football in the run and things got rough.

Banana bread never lasts long enough to be toasted for breakfast around here. Only had enough over ripe bananas for one loaf.

No lint falling from the sky here today. Just those nasty Japanese Beetles. I just stepped out on the deck and they swarmed me. The east side of the house is covered with them. Little opportunists always try this after the first killing freeze here. I've had to vacuum them off the ceiling in the house. Needless to say I hate them. And the BITE!

oooh, they sound nasty! Will another freeze get rid of them?

Probably not. They are just a complete nuisance. I've found piles of them in our crawl space where they get in looking for somewhere to winter over and then can't get back out.

Definitely not Einsteins of the bug world.

Did I mention that they bite?
