My leukemia's back.

Morning Team Rachel.

Overslept this morning.:caf I've been doing a lot of that lately. The folks at the Old Folks Home know but two months ago I was diagnosed with three different types of inflammatory/progressive arthritis. Osteo, borderline Rheumatoid and then a month later Anklyosing Spondelitits. Several weeks ago I was informed I also have Osteoporosis in my hips and spine along with bone thinning. It answered a lot of questions for me including why I have been suffering so much joint pain lately and not feeling well. I started giving myself shots of Methotrexate two months ago and they have helped me immensely but I tend to tire very easily and sleep a lot at night.

I keep praying that the shots continue to help me so I don't have to go on a biologic. As it is now I have to wear a mask while cleaning the coops.

@Cynthia12, hope things work out for the best for your husband. I know what a tough position you are in. We recently lost a dear friend who had Parkinson's disease and suffered a fall that killed him. It happens so fast at times.
I hope all of the extra sleep helps!

It does, Ron, yet it doesn't. Finger all swollen and painful this morning but my energy levels are good. Afraid the next time I see the rheumatologist he is going to boost my med dose up. Starting over from scratch then.
It is a trade off then. I hope it gets better soon!
:fl:hugs

We also have a bug called an emerald tree borer that is another nasty.

Is that 'Japanese Beetle' pictured the same as a June Bug? Sorta kinda looks like a common June bug that we have around here. Or at least a variety of them.
Yep, Emerald Ash Borer. Will kill every ash tree in the country eventually. They just found them in Vermont this year but they were already in MA and NH.

The June Bug I know is brown and far as I know not a garden pest. Saw them in So. Cal yearly and yes in June. The Japanese Beetle is colorful, greenish, bluish, reddish and very destructive.

I see that some of you been experienced some light...... Flakes ... falling in your area.
We do NOT have dandruff @Cynthia12, that is LINT!

I keep praying that the shots continue to help me so I don't have to go on a biologic. As it is now I have to wear a mask while cleaning the coops.
Why down on the biologics? DW is not wheelchair bound because of Enbrel. She was switched to Humira this year after being on Enbrel for about 10 years.

I'm not down on them @bruceha1000. Just leery of them. Even my doctor told me that they will pound my immune system if I have to go on them. They have already given me R95 masks to wear this winter if I venture into crowds. I have to wear them when I clean the coop. That's just with the Methotrexate. And I just read that if you take them longer than 5 years your body will develop antibodies against the biologic. Don't know if that is true or not.

Is that why they switched your wife's?
