My leukemia's back.

So today was my scheduled cardiologist visit and it decides to be the first snow storm of the season. The 20 minute ride there took 45 minutes. Road crews had done nothing, and got behind several drivers going 15 mph. :barnie Echocardiogram was good - absolutely no deterioration of the heart valve from last year. :celebrate Ride home was a piece of cake; although, on the county road hill just prior to our road (45 degree hill) someone coming down had lost control and was crashed into a fence. Damage to pride and vehicle, but no injuries. I now hate snow or is it the people driving in the snow ? :idunno
Yeah I watched this yesterday

She did a triple roll.... Claimed she hit ice..... That's what she was telling her parents on the phone.... The roads were closer and dry.... We were trying to get her out.... She just stayed strapped in upside down yacking away in the phone..... Lucky she missed the telephone pole....I was watching the whole time hoping she would miss it.... Young college girl...

I think she was just driving too fast.... Especially in the city....

Yes, chemo is highly toxic. In the bathrooms at the cancer center, there are signs on the wall above every toilet instructing chemo patients to flush twice. When I asked about it, I was informed that for several days after a treatment, even the urine of a patient is very toxic. When one flushes a toilet, there are aerosolized water particles dispensed. Flushing twice helps ensure the area contaminated by the aerosolized particles is diluted, and less toxic. It's especially important for patients to do in a home with children. I flushed twice, and cleaned very often.

I did my chemo in a private room.... So no one was allowed to use my bathroom.
But it makes sense..... But seriously I saw the little bottles of (Dioxin?) They were giving other patients..... Then they come into my room with a quart bottle and hazmat suit.

At the Cancer Treatment Center where I was treated, they had signs above the toilets saying "CLOSE LIB BEFORE FLUSHING" to trap those aerosols in the toilet instead of letting them disperse throughout the bathroom.

So glad that you are a cancer survivor @LittleLakePhil , sorry that you had to go through that at all. I enjoy your posts and you have alot of knowledge to share.

My husband is known as Andy's Hardware Store. Whenever there is a sale, he stocks up on misc. screws, bolts, nuts, kotter pins, nails, ... He denies it, but I think he owns most tools known to man. Seriously, he does have a nice selection of tools and is handy to have around.
