My leukemia's back.

Good grief! :(
Supposedly their insurance is having fits... because they have moved in with my mom since she lives in Houston where there is better medical care, and they need the extra help... but their home address is in a town 3.5 hours drive away.

I am sure at some point the insurance will understand.... and then they will be able to get the PET scan and start the chemo Monday like the doctors want to.... but it is a bit of a scrambled mess at present.

That can happen with insurance!

I hope they can get started on treatment. The surgery is done which is good but the rest needs to be on schedule.

Alaskan - oh no :barnie:hit Many thoughts and prayers for you and your little sister, her husband and especially their kids! My big brother, hero protecting me growing up and still my hero, suffered a brain bleed in his brain stem a few years ago when he was only in early 40’s. No one, or almost no one survives that. He did. His mind is intact, but cannot connect to his body to work. But he is here with us, and here to see his little boy, my sweet nephew, grow up. His life is drastically different now, but he has life. He’s here and his little boy and angel wife (and me!) want him here. He’s a miracle. Miracles happen. Medical procedures are so much more now than even several years ago! My mother had a brain tumor, also several years ago that surgery at time couldn’t help enough, the surgery gave her (me!) precious and very good time. I wish had more. Never enough time with those we love. I guess when I recently dumb-stumbled on Rachel’s years ago post, these life events, and plus, is why her post resignated with me. Medicine has come a long way even in a few years, there’s hope, always hope. And just staying family strong. All hopes, and all prayers for all yours Alaskan

Very inspirational!

Hopefully there will be some medical advancement that will help
