My leukemia's back.

I think the no longer effective antibiotics is due to doctors not taking the time to make sure it is bacterial instead of viral.... and LOTS of people not taking the entire bottle of antibiotics.

I think doctors are getting better with making sure it is bacterial..... but if you know the first kid got a bacterial infection... well... easy to know the rest will get it too. I also think they are fleecing us.
All of the above is true but ignores the fact that no one is making new anti biotics. By their nature, they will all stop working over time as the bacteria mutates.

Hopefully new research into anti biotics is going on now and that pharma will actually sell them

Every time I went to the doctor with a sore throat (really sore), he'd start me on meds for strep throat while waiting for the test results. NOT once did it show as strep throat, so he'd have me stop taking them. But, that happened so often I worried about all the unnecessary medication.

The child psychologist is getting a bit upset. She put a letter, and a questionnaire in an envelope for my grandson's teachers to fill out, and gave them to my daughter to give to the teachers. She did. The teachers were given the option of sealing their answers in an envelope, then giving it to my daughter to return, mailing them, or faxing them. They called the psychologist's office stating they could not give the questionnaires to the mother, even in a sealed envelope, and verified the fax number. To date, no response from the teachers. BTW, grandson's attention span is normal for his age.

Everything is being set up, and Dd #1 goes to the PCP on the 23rd. to get the approved referral for the neurologist.

I hope it all gets sorted out soon!

Oh good grief!! :barnie

Of all things!

GAC perhaps a call to CPS against the teacher/school is in order. Have DD tell them she feels as though her son is being put into a situation where mental/verbal abuse is possible since the Dr's cannot get proper info from the school and the potential abuse of the other Dr. trying to get the school to completely ignore a doctor that has treated her child for quite a while, not a simple 15 minute or so interview (if that much)...
