I finally got to see it..... it was Neat & Sad at the same time..... You could tell he was very attached to them, and poor Sweet pea...... Interesting how wild turkeys are.

I didn't get to see it 'till monday but it was gooooddd!!!!!!!!

I had something funny happin to me today

I just got 7 month olds tom and 3 hens on the 11 of nov and i was making freands with the one hen. so today i was taking care of my birds and i did not pay anymind to her and she was doing everthing she cood to get me to pet her. so i'm leaning over to fill a feeeder and all of a sudding i feel a BIG BIRD ON MY BACK AND ALL I COOD THINK OF IS TURKEY BOY WITH THE GUY !!!

SO I TURNED TO SEE MY HEN ON MY BACK AND SHE CAME UP TO ME AND SHE WAS TAIKING UP A STOUM IN MY EAR AS IF TO SAY "HEY I'M HERE YOU KNOW " YOU HAVE BEEN PETTING ME FOR WEEKS NOW

I'M GOING TO GET SOME PETTING ONE WAY OR ONTHER

I know it's a stringy meat but depending on how it's cooked it can be good.. Forget getting sandwiches from inside the house when all your food is resting in the leaves and trees!

I found out, later, that while they tried their best to recreate the story like it is in the book, some things happened while filming this group of poults that didn't happen in the original story and vice versa. I have a feeling that the film crew found the snake already in the process of eating the poult and decided to add it to the story as an afterthought. Still sad, though.

I was looking around trying to find out what actually happened during the re-creation. It goes without saying that we did not actually see "Turkey-boy" attack Joe, so could it be possible that the poult being eaten by a snake was some sort of tricksie re-enactment as well?
