Hi everyone!

I've been so excited to get chickens and finally had the opportunity to get some. I ordered chicks from Meyers a few months ago and they arrived yesterday (5-28-2020)!!

I ordered 14 total and unfortunately, 2 have died. All the rest are happy and thriving! It's so fun to watch them play and run around!

Just wanted to start a thread to keep track of pictures, tell stories and get any advise you all may have

Thank you so much! The little Polish in the picture I shared was the one that passed away last night. She was so sweet and cute. I'm happy the others made it through the night!

This is a great idea for something to look back on for years to come. Your babies are adorable! I just got six one week old chicks, but I have no idea what kinds they are as they're a barnyard mix. I'm going to start a thread for them as well, thanks for the idea.

Just went to put down pine shavings so I didn't have to change paper towels anymore. Well, they went crazy! Playing with it and some seemed like they were eating the small flakes. I got worried and covered it with paper towels again.

When could I try the shavings again? Our feed store only has the fine shavings, so fairly small bits. I'm worried about them eating it and getting sick.

4 Days Old

2 Easter Eggers and 1 Green Queen! Not sure which one is which but I'm pretty sure the first one is an Easter Egger.

Black Copper Marans Not sure why one has light pink feet? Any ideas?
