Yes, she did make it. I put her down this morning and dropped her off to the vet. It was no fun having to cull her myself but I'm glad that it is done now. Hopefully it won't take too long to get the results!

I'm so sorry you had to put her down, that is never a fun thing to do. I've only had to do that a couple of times & thankfully it wasn't any of my pets. My husband usually spares me from it, even though he doesn't enjoy it either. I hope they can figure out what was wrong with her & hopefully it won't show that she had Marek's.
 
Hi Rei! I finally found the egg stash, actually 2 of them. One was in the corner of the coop with 11 eggs in it, I found those yesterday, but that didn't account for the amount I should have found. When I fed my flock their morning treat, I realized that my FBCM was missing, she wasn't in the coop. I found her in the enclosed pen, next to the small covered area we have in there. I waited and went back out to see if she had finished laying. I found 25 eggs! I also found 9 in the nesting boxes, with one of my RIR waiting to lay hers. I could have used our dogs ball chucker, but I wasn't sure where it was...I need to find it though, because I think it will come in very handy, thank you for sharing that tip! :D

Oh my goodness. What a stash! Naughty chickens. They find the oddest places to lay. It's like a domino effect ... once one lays in a spot most all feel the need to lay there too 😂 I'm glad to here it was this situation versus the other!

Hopefully you can find your dog ball thrower. It works great :gig
 
Beautiful morning here.. I've been making it a point to play ball with the dogs every evening so they can get some well needed exercise. Taf was the only one with me this morning so he got some extra time in :)
