My gorgeous little Elara makes SURE I know when she wants attention...

As soon as I leave the brooder's side, the screaming begins. The brooder is in our basement and I can hear her upstairs! I started out worried, came downstairs to observe and she immediately went about her normal activities.

I leave... it begins again. Over and over! As soon as she sees me, the screaming becomes the usual happy little chatters and peeps.

So here I am sitting on the basement floor playing babysitter, while my lunch gets cold upstairs!

No, she has 2 siblings. They get along really well, aside from the occasional toe munching and stealing pine shavings out of each other's beaks!
