These two are only a few hours apart. The smaller one I had to help out. He/she only took up about half of his/her shell space and would never have hatched without assistance I dont think.

The big one is Latifah, though by the looks of her I might have to change her name to Lincoln.

double bummer if this is true, because I think she is black, and I can't keep a black roo.

are those BLK Australorps? I got 2 day old chicks last yr and they were very different like yours. I was on here trying to get people to tell me if i got a bantam by mistake. here is the link with a pic.............

Anyway.....they ended up both growing into standard size hens. The small one stayed small right til they were about to lay and then did some catching up.

These are Orpingtons. I think they are both black, but the large one may be a dark blue. Time will tell. And yes, I am sure my Peanut will eventually become more "normally" sized.
