My lone duckling

Hello everyone, I recently decided to raise chickens and ducks! I started the process about 2 weeks ago with 10 chicks and 2 ducklings! Unfortunately this morning I went out to check on them, and one of the ducklings didn’t make it, so now I have a lonely duckling! I feel bad for the lone duck now! I currently have a mirror and a stuffed animal in there with the duckling! Do I raise it alone and introduce it to the chicks when they are a little bigger or is it worth getting another duckling! Thanks in advance!

I would get him another friend, ducklings do very bad when housed alone, and chicks aren't a suitable companion for them.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I did go and get another duckling but I tried to introduce then and the older one is really trying to pick on it! Any suggestions?

Separate them, so they can see and hear each other, but can't touch. After a few days try introducing them and see how they get along.

Keep them in the same brooder but make a separation so the youngest isn’t getting picked on but they can see each other it may take a few days but they will get use to each other. I took a piece of hardware cloth wrapped the edges in gorilla tape and use it as my divider
