My Love Affair With Ducks...

Oh yeah, uh huh! What you talking bout? Everybody needs a Wally World.
Here we have Piggly Wiggly!

We have Wally worlds but Menards and fleetfarm have things farm people need.
The Walmart in Centre actually has all the different kinds of livestock feed, which I had never seen before in a Walmart. Our farm needs are bought at either TSC or the Cherokee County Co-op.

We haven’t had them in 40 years.
Piggly Wiggly’s disappeared where I used to live in GA. It was a big thing when I was a kid. I remember they were one of the first to have automatic doors. Remember the “mats” that were in front of the door that triggered the door to open?

Tell me what y’all think about this egg. My little bitty Hershey laid it. I remember she had missed a day laying and then this is what popped out the next day. The egg had algae all over it. I mean ducks are water fowl, but is her vent like a marina?

Here’s a whopper for you. This is Petey the Pig’s egg. It is a quarter of a pound, all by itself. Yes, it was a double yolker.

Now here is Petey’s whopper compared to little Hershey’s. Hers is so tiny. I couldn’t imagine a duckling actually being able to hatch from it.

Here is an egg from each of my girls. Also, Petey’s is usually not this large.

I tossed a dead mouse over to Petey. She seemed to have fun with it for a few seconds. :lau Then she had other things to tend to I suppose. I really think she’d have liked it better if it had been alive, or at least half alive. :th
