My Love Affair With Ducks...

Pics
You chose to believe me when I tease you about your regional dialect but refuse to believe me on the impending doom dux have planned for humans???
I used to say I had a ‘southern’ accent, which I have obviously grown immune to, but now that I’m hearing more of my dang voice I need to change what I call it! My voice is a slap in the face to the ‘sweet Southern sound!’

Since I no longer work out in public anymore, I have forgotten how I should sound and have just let my voice go all “caveman” or something. It’s awful.

Now putting my voice to the side (better yet, thrown away)...and back to your question!
I pride myself on being very intuitive, really! And my intuition tells me better. Those little peeping, honking, quacking baby ducks can spread no doom: only smiles, sheer love, and maybe a little sh*t! :gig

They are messy, I give them that, but I think that’s part of their appeal.:love Late yesterday when a pretty good shower came through, of course all the chickens ran lickety split into the run, but the duckies? NOOOOOOO! They were running around their run, like excited little children running through the rain and mud puddles. Watching them made me want to go out and join them.

That’s the difference in chickens and ducks - chickens are very fun to watch and I laugh every day at their actions. BUT, ducks! Ducks bring out the kids in us! Everything about them: their looks, their sounds, their waddling, their actions - puts a big old smile on your face!

You need to try one Ralphie!

I love this! I’ve had grown ducks before but I just got my first ducklings too and I’m so glad we feel the same way about them. They are just the most adorable things on the planet and I can’t help but kiss them too!
I know it. I still kiss them, but keep my fingers crossed while doing it. :fl :love:oops:

on another note, your voice sounded like a normal, albeit Southie, voice. You are too hard on yourself, you could get a second career as a pitchman on a Southie radio station.

This little boy tells me at least once every day, “Mimi, I’m so glad we got ducks! I love them!” And I know he does.

(Disclaimer: These pics will make you smile! And he may or may not have had green peas in his hands!:lau)

Latte is saying, “What cha got, what cha got? Come on, widdle boy, lemme see!”

As I’ve been told and now have learned, you can always make friends with a duck if you have food❣️

Nice pictures.. but did you count to make sure they didn’t eat one of his fingers?

I could almost like that first Dux, if he never got any bigger and didn’t poo.
