Have they planted the C-4 yet?My ducks have peeled off the foam insulation of the copper pipes, connecting the AC-compressor to the house. They haven't eaten any of the foam, just peeled it off and shredded it to pieces.

Ralphie, where do you come up with all this craziness?Have they planted the C-4 yet?
Nope, they eat a lot of C4 plants, aka grasses. My ducks don't plant, they till and weed!Have they planted the C-4 yet?
Other fun games: I dig in the potatoes and they happily "find" them.Kind loved doing that when they free ranged. It was a fun game, I put it on, they pull it off.
You just need to get your hands around those wings and then turn them on their backs:I have already been on the receiving end of a wing bashing, and that was just trying to hang onto the dang duck. They are much harder to hold than a chicken.
Believe it or not she was doing much better even late yesterday. This morning the limp is hardly noticeable. I’m amazed because she seemed so hurt a couple of days ago. I am very happy. I hate to see an animal hurting.@Mimi13 How is peaches doing today?

Speaking of that, last Friday we had to euthanize my almost 13 year old chocolate lab, Izzy. She had been having trouble breathing and I believe this heat finally got her. She went out with me late in the afternoon Friday and walked down the driveway with me. Never in a million years did I think this would have happened. Walking back to the house she literally could not breathe. Without going into horrific detail, she was gasping for her breaths. If only I had known then what I know now!
She raised one litter of nine puppies and was the best momma. My last remaining inside dog is her puppy and she is almost 12. Izzy is also the only dog I’ve had that would welcome any new puppy or baby into the family. She would also lay up in the yard amongst the chickens and never pay them any mind.
She was the sweetest dog. I never had to get on to her, but if I pretended to scold her I would say, “ Izzy, what’d you do?” She would squint her eyes and a big old grin would come across her face. I wish I had a picture of her doing that. It was hilarious. With as many pictures as I have I probably do, I’ll just have to look for it.
