I am so sorry for the death of your car. My DH and I will be in that boat soon. I currently drive an old 2001 F150 that is nearing 300K miles and he is driving a 2007 Jeep Commander that is OVER 300K miles. Our time's coming and I don't look forward to it. That part of your post gets a :(, but the rest of it gets a big old :lau. It's all hilarious!

Unfortunately, paint isn't gonna help my poor old deck. It is so old we are replacing one board at a time. It's too big to fix all of it at once. I mean, I do still want money for my feathered menagerie!

You mention exploring duck burgers which reminds me that Petey and Peaches' neck feathers are thinning and it isn't from Ralphie Dux, it is from each other. If the girls keep on, their necks are gonna be bare!

The chicken coop I split and made a portion of it a duck house I wrap it and my chicken run with plastic in the winter. I do leave adequate space at the top for ventilation on the south and east sides, but I have to wrap it decently on the north and west sides because of the cold winter winds. Even though our winter weather is very mild, all of my poultry houses sit up on the hill, so when it is cold the wind chill can be brutal!

Just make sure your DW knows all the names of your ducks so she doesn't overhear you saying what so and so did and think you're stepping out on her! :lau:lau That could be disastrous!

And YES, @duluthralphie is asking for it!
My car was a 2006 Suzuki Forenza, called Suzy and she almost made it to 90,000 miles. I'm now planning on a Subaru Outback with a trailer. - 4x4 trucks are way out of my price-range and i guess a trailer is a good alternative.

You would be surprised what a good deck paint is able to do! The open patio here was a set of splinters on top of still strong boards, so i painted it with a really thick epoxy based paint. That kind of stuff you get really high of… It did cost me $200, but two years later my patio is still doing well, except for some high traffic areas, where strange triangular footprints have appeared…

Yes, Wifie knows the names of the female duck's, but that didn't help to disperse all suspicion… I could have named the ducks after my ex-girlfriends… 🤦‍♂️

My cayuga ducks necks are bare. And it's not all the Drakes fault.
J just this morning I heard a commotion and witnessed a triple duck burger going on while the drake stood on the sidelines.
In fact, i have observed that »duck on duck« action seems to be more vicious that what the drakes do. Almost all my ducks, ducks and drakes (!) have bald spots on their necks. China must have mixed some hormones into the rainclouds here… ;)

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m talking about. The girls are vicious!

My girls are all about the foreplay - Mrs Puddles and Bertha are a sight to behold.

Its always Big Bertha doing it to a coo'ing and absolutely up for it Mrs P whose vent could be seen from Mars as Bertha hops on like an Olympic gymnast and after taking a light hold of Mrs P's necks, dry humps her for an awfully long time.

Tail wagging from both happy ladies after the big event.

Could teach the drakes a thing or 12.....

:pop

Absolutely rolling on the floor laughing at this! 🤣I know exactly what you mean I have seen it here myself.

Lord help! That is hilarious. I can see Petey’s vent plain as day, just waiting for Peaches to grunt and thrust and then fall to the side. It’s kind of weird that I sit there and stare at these stupid creatures, but it’s amazingly interesting!

No, female dux should ever even try to teach a Ralphie Dux anything. Ralphie Dux are working for mankind.

The descriptions of the hussy dux displaying their wide open vents is obscene and should only be in adult dux magazines like “PlayDux”,Pentdux, or “SlutDux”...

I won’t even get started on the lesbian dux behavior.

In other news, I was wondering if any of you have tried guardian possums? I heard they are good for Dux Flocks....

And just when you got used to see this weird thing, your ducks will come up with something new and weirder… :lau
