My lovely yellow goldens.

Pics
I still have them, the males I gave away to a couple of friends that think they were beautiful. I may just enroll them in freezer camp!
I'm sure they are pretty! Isn't that how some of the colour morphs came to be?
25 is a Lot of crossed birds to keep with no breeding prospect though, I can see how they would have to end up in the freezer.

Yeah, they are pretty in their own right but they are not pure! If your a reputable breeder than you don't want any of these birds, because people will always wonder if they are getting pure birds or some mutt.
When I found out he wasn't pure!

That really is a stunning bird! I'd love to have one in my garden as a jewel, but I also completely understand the dilemma as a breeder.

I keep Tarantulas, snakes and tropical fish myself and during the times I have bred and sold specific species it has been very important to keep them pure, or at least be honest about the heritage. For the hobby as well as the care of the animals.

All the girls have just been lazying about in the sun today. Moving to the best spot as the day went by... while Prim keeps strutting. I wish he'd just lie down for a minute as well! 😅
