My lovely yellow goldens.

Caught him in the bath for once! Usually the girls are a lot more into their dirt than Prim. He looks a bit bothered. 😅

And even the girls new feathers have a bit more of a yellow tint to them - though I seem to remember the same from last year and wonder if the old ones are simply a bit drained of colour through the seasons.

Did this one lay eggs? Usually if they start getting any colored plumage, it means they have a damaged ovary!

All my girls laid eggs and I'm not worried, they just seem to grow out like that and then fade. :) This was them last year with their new feathers:

Ok, just letting you know that when a hen starts getting male colored plumage, it usually means that they have an ovary that has gotten damaged or some other type of reproductive problem with their ovaries. Here's a photo of one of my hens that has lost her ovaries, I don't know how but she has lost them!

Oh yes if that happened it would be different! Mine just have a slight change of yellow tint. :)

I believe some chickens do this if kept in an all female flock as well?
